Carbon Fiber Trim

Both products are very good as far as weave and finish. The overlay is good because it's shows the lights on the console and it's stickers where as MAcarbon's is a full carbon fiber replacement console BUT it does not show the console lights and since it's full carbon fiber it's higher in price. You have to make your own choice as to which one you want some people don't like the fact that the overlay's are stickers, but you really can't tell. I really like MaCarbon's but the Price is higher. I have bought from both and they are both great to deal with.

I really like the MA total replacement but wish it showed the lights on the A/C panel.. I also wish it was a little cheaper?? I understand it takes $$$ to make them, I just wish some of these thing went on sale from time to time... The group buy from FC seems to be going pretty well... Maybe MA will offer some discounts???

We've had people ask about group buys in the past. We don’t do them and here are some thoughts off the top of my head.

From a pure business standpoint, many of our Ferrari parts are made to order already - a nice way of saying we are backordered and have more orders than capacity. So further orders at a lower price is not that interesting. We are happy with our capacity right now and with today's economy and the small nature of the Ferrari market, adding capacity can be a major risk.

We also try to price our parts as fairly as we can. It’s expensive to make the parts to the level we want. If we were to make them to a lower quality level we could sell them cheaper. Just by switching to fiberglass style gel coat rather than a clear coat would make a HUGE difference... but then you get a different product.

Group buys also turn into a lot of work. Its a lot of work for the vendor actually but more important, its a lot of work for the organizer. Look at all the work Jeffdavison has put into the sills and handbrake FC buy. He got good results by staying on top of it but usually over 50% of the people who say they will sign up wind up flaking and leaving the organizer holding the bag. The vendor then has to service the group buy even at the lower volume number just to avoid the negative PR after all the work the group put in.

I do understand the attractiveness of group buys (I'm in for 30K tune up kits from Ricambi or 308 16" wheels!) but I don't think MA will offer one anytime soon.

Personally, If you look at the number of potential customers, you just are not going to put GOOD parts together cheap.

I also look at it in terms of options: replacing the center console parts through Ferrari, even at Ricambi prices, is over 2k. And then you get parts that are going to crap out on you eventually. I want something that is going to last, that I can clean and enjoy.
