Jeezus - now I fully understand why these bloody mufflers cost so much money - because the sound is worth it.

Had mine installed by Mike at Ferrari Service of Costa Mesa, along with some other minor things. Got it back yesterday and went to CC this morning and it is a whole different car. Plus, turns out the cats had been gutted which is why the car didn't pass the smog check, hence the new cats. I went with the Hyperflows rather than OEM - less expensive, polished stainless, and they advertise that the flow is only 4 percent less than test pipes.

All in all I am over the moon - the car absolutely races to redline now and sounds magnificent. Anyone in the downtown LA area that wants a ride through the 2nd Street tunnel, let me know!!!

I don't have any video or audio recording devices so no samples - maybe someone can capture it at our next FDC drive. I'm posting a picture but it is useless - I have had the heat shield put back on so you cannot see it from the top of the engine bay. The other pic is of one of the cats - shiny bit in the lower middle. Sorry....I'm sure it looks great up on the rack!!!

    Cheers

I like how it is tucked up under the bumper. I don't like how the dual can sticks out on mine. Are the hyperflow cats 100 cell, or 200 cell?

I have no idea on the Hyperflow cell count - I just went to their website to see if there were some specs and didn't see them. It does say, however, that the OEM converters flow 498 cfm and the Hyperflows flow 560 cfm.

I had posted at http://ferrarichat.com/forum/showthread.php?t=23446 about failing my smog check, and I plan to update that thread with the new smog check numbers for a before/after comparo with the Hyperflows. Gimme a couple of days or so!!

I had the single can on mine and it hung down as well - now you just see the transaxle and it does look much cooler!

    Cheers

    Kevin,

You beat me to the punch. I was just about to start a similar thread. Just a few days ago I swapped the stock cat and muffler on my 328 for a Hyper-Flow/Tubi setup and I'm very happy that I did. These items have absolutely transformed the character of the car! Plus, the customer service at Hyper-Flow is outstanding. The gentleman that I spoke with was very friendly and helpful. I couldn't be happier with how it all turned out. By the way, your 348 looks fantastic! Again, congrats! :)

Thanks to Shelton Ferrari for the great deal on the Tubi and to Hyper-Flow for the catalytic converter. These are two great products!

Mine was even easier since Mike at Ferrari Service is a distributor so he organized the cats for me and did the install of the cats and Tubi. Smog results after the install were really clean so they must be working!

Jerry - I expect to be at CC most Saturdays so towards the end of the week let me know if you're going. You ought to have a drive of the 348 as well. I would expect that it would fall between your 328 and the TR performance wise but interested in your impressions. When are you "Tubi-fying" the TR??? That I GOTTA hear!!

    Cheers

Jerry should put Tubis on his TR. Bruce has them on his car and it sounds amazing!
