Who's coming to the MT. BALDY RUN on Sunday, August 8th? Visit - http://ferrarichat.com/forum/showthread.php?t=25810 We meet at 1pm. RSVP so that we know who's coming. Patrick Shim 310-927-7410 [email protected]
You don't mind if a Bavarian horse join in, do you? If you do, I will bring my S2000 instead. At least the S2K will scream "wait for me" in a high pitch voice.
Umm..Pat- parking in the village especially anywhere that we will need numerous parking is a big challenge. Especially on a Sun. afternoon in the summer, and by starbucks....any ideas??? youre lucky to even find one space near that area....not to mention the soccer moms that fight for these too...
There is a parking lot behind the building. The Washington Mutual bank's parking lot should be available. Yeah, I thought about the parking issue, after setting the meeting place. I thought about changing it, but I don't think we should confuse the people who are coming. I think there will be at least 25+ parking spaces available behind the building. Patrick

Calvin, It was nice talking with you on the phone. Look forward to seeing your F355 Spyder!!! (and welcome to So. Cal.)! Patrick
COOL! Here's another thing. Let's make it a CHARITY EVENT!!! I am currently sponsoring a nonprofit foundation called "Four Safe Wheels Foundation". I will personally donate $50 per participant to the foundation in their name (for example, if we get 10 exotics, I will donate $500 to the foundation in their name out of my pocket). For more information on the foundation, visit www.FourSafeWheels.org. Patrick
Anyone wanna bring something BIG? I wanna see some Bentleys, RRs, or H1s doing this run... (should be fun to see those big cars going through those tight turns)
Patrick: Thanks for the welcome message. Nice talking to you too. It's official, I'm in for Mt. Baldy. See you (& others!) Sunday. Kelvin
I am doing a TEST RUN of the Glendora Canyon with a couple of F-CHAT members. If you are in the area, give me a call (310-927-7410). We are leaving at 2pm. Patrick
Would you guys mind if a lowly Mustang joined the drive? This sounds like a pretty fun road, especially with all the automotive eye candy along for the ride. I'd really look forward to talking with you guys and listening to your cars through the turns. Also- I've never been up the road to Mt. Baldy. Can I assume it is similar to the roads through the Santa Monica Mountains (Mulholland, etc)? That is my normal Sunday afternoon drive, and I'm just wondering what to expect. Thanks, Kegan
More and more cars are signing up!!! Michael, a friend of mine, is bringing his 620hp TechArt Porsche Turbo (in Lapis Blue...).
Anyone have a Walkie-talkie? and I was wondering if anyone would like to go ahead of the group, to look for in-coming traffics and bikers. Let me know! Thanks!
Be careful what you wish for. If I don't passenger, I might give the Bilsteins a stretch. Just to be safe, I'll give you a head start. Sunny
I did another test run by myself today... Maybe I have too much time in my hand. Just wanted to make sure everything goes well this Sunday. Also met with the Forrest Service... They confirmed the road will be open, and will be on alert IN CASE anything happens (between 1pm to 4pm). I think if we keep a safe speed (under 40mph), it should be a great fun... - and won't get the passengers sick. See you guys on Sunday! Patrick
There are many F-Chat members from Newport/Huntington Beach area.... Why don't you guys caravan the way up here?
It won't be too bad up there...higher altitude...it's very nice. And Claremont is a wonderful downtown area. They have a great hot rod show that is so much fun. Second Saturday of the month, March-October, 5:30 to 9 p.m. I entered my BMW Isetta and got the biggest cheers, and won a trophy. Such a kick. It is well-suited to a euro car meet if it was early before businesses open. But Birkenstocks, tie-dye, and/or turtlenecks are required to fit in.
I know there's been some posting that the passengers in the cars might get sick, but when we did the TEST RUN yesterday at a reasonable speed (under 40mph), it wasn't bad at all - so we are now encouraging people to bring guests! If you have a spouse, girlfriend, kids, etc., bring them. They will love it, too! Patrick
I've just contacted Claremont PD to request extra partol (at the meeting place) and some escort service. Also the Claremont PD will allow the participants do photoshoots with the officers (staged scenes like handcuffs on the participants, etc.) If you have any question, please give me a call at 310-927-7410 or email at [email protected]. Thanks! Patrick
