On Saturday December 5th, the Triangle Italians will be organizing the 2nd annual Toy Drive for the Durham Rescue Mission. We will be meeting @ Camille's Sidewalk Cafe in Brier Creek at our regular time of 9AM.

Here is our chance to give the gift of generosity to some of those less fortunate.
The guidelines for a Christmas present are pretty open:
    • Boys & Girls ages 12 and under
    • Please make sure the gift remains unwrapped

The plan will be as follows:
    • We’ll meet @ Camille’s at 9:00AM.
    • We’ll start lining up cars around 10:00 - 10:15 and leave the parking lot @ 10:30.
    • We will drive to the drop-off point (Crosspointe Church) located at Rt55 & Carpenter Fire Station Road. We will also bring maps for our drive.

The Durham Rescue Mission will have a truck at Crosspointe for us to load our gifts. Thank you everyone in advance for helping with this toy drive!

We look forward to seeing everyone out there. If you have any questions or comments, you can email us at [email protected].

    Hello Greg,

I hope it is okay for us to join you again this year? For me this was the best meet of the year. I had such a great feeling after this, it really brought home what the season should be all about.

The S2000 community is very much looking forward to this and I started talking it up at the last meet. Please let me know if there is anything we can do to help make this a bigger success then last year.

    Kevin

I would like to come, if anyone needs a co-pilot I would love to ride along. If not I still would like to come and take some pictures, I'm trying to get a portfolio started.

Okay, I realize this is Ferrarichat but I have a member that is obsessed with the Carrera GT that has showed up once or maybe twice. He has missed it both times and would love it if it showed up for the Toys for Tots. So does anyone know who owns it and if so could we persuade them to make an appearance for this special event?

    Thanks.

Kevin...I can do some poking around. One of the PCA guys may be able to contact the owner. The same owner also drives the silver 430 Scuderia that's been there a couple of times.

I emailed Kevin at PCA and he knows the owners and was going to see if maybe they would make an appearence.

    Todd and Greg,

If there is any way you guys would reach out to him and just ask, I would, and I know the member of my club would be very appreciative.

    Thank you.

    Kevin

P.S. We are up to about 17 or 18 confirmed so far and I haven't started contacting people via PM or email. I am hoping for up to 30 S2000's if the weather is good.

Hey there everyone. Just wanted to mention this year Connie's Weenies will be setup so everyone can get a hotdog, chips, and soda/water. Bring a few $ and grab lunch!

From what I've heard, Connies is pretty good. I tried to get a lunch donated, but with the economy...I wasn't able to sell the idea.

    Hello All,

Just an update on the S2000 crew. I have a group coming from Fayetteville, some from SJAF base, a couple from the Charlotte area and SC and even a few from northern VA and Richmond. The count so far looks like 25 cars plus some guests. There are a few that I have PMed and have said they are coming but have not posted up yet.

I am still trying for the 30+ cars and we might get there.

    Stay tuned!

    Kevin
