I just got an email from Frank M. Is anybody from here going on the trip, just curious.
What trip? Argentina is my favorite destination!!! There is a cool concept Ferrari dealer/coffee shop/bar in B.A.
I would rather go to Russia in the middle of the winter with no coat........than have to visit another Baslmic Vinger plant LOL LOL
Hey, I bought a case of Frank's balsamic when I was last at his house, great stuff...and makes a great gift....my friends love it!
Don't cry for me Argentina, just build me an A6GCS Pininfarina Coupe! Tour departs Nov 7 - 17 and will see these cars being hand built to exacting detail. Bring your check book and ship one home. They are building 6 of them and the first 3 are taken. We have also been invited to the British Embassy Gala of the year along with the American Ambassador. Don't forget Tango lessons and the international Polo playoffs, the super bowl of Polo takes place on November 14th and And the best part of all is the 4 to 1 dollar to Peso. For Buenos Aires think Paris. Ciao, FGM Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Here are a couple videos I posted on YouTube today of an all aluminum 300S Maserati replica made in Buenos Aires by the well known Nestor Salerno a former race driver and a very capable builder. Note the gas tank and engine compartment details. This car can be had for under $100,000. I will be posting videos each day of the car guy tour beginning on the 27th of Sept watch for them by searching "Car Guy Tour" on YouTube. Great videos - Thanks Frank. Whats the engine in the 300S?[/QUOTE] I believe it is a worked over Ford truck inline six. It sounded really healthy, as you can tell by the chirping tires. FGM
Fake or not, you have to appreciate the craftsmanship, you dont see this level of ability even in the current industrialized Italian offering. There are probably fewer than 200 guys left in the world whom can hand work a fender out of aluminum today.
You would think this video was filmed in 1939 but you are about to see pure craftsmanship going on as we speak in 2009/2010. Filmed in a special department of Pur Sang in Parana Argentina where they are building a 2.9 liter Alfa Romeo Roadster. Some would call this an exacting copy, but I would described it as an amazing "work of art." It is a pleasure to know this type of dedicated work done by hand is still being done. From original drawings they are engineering this complete car and brining it to life. The front suspension is mind boggling. Please keep in mind that everything is made in house, except the tires. The first car shown here has been commissioned by a prominent collector and sold for an amount very near 1 million dollars. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-infFJgYPqE Ciao, FGM
