    Hello,

    My name is Tino Rodrigo

Sorry for the delay,i am a very busy person and i don't read my email each day. Now,i'm back and I want to assure you that the car is still for sale.
The car is now in a garage at the SPAIN embassy in 2375 Pennsylvania Av. NW , 20037 Washington D.C. , were my wife is working and If you are still interested to buy my car(1987 Ferrari : 3.2 Mondial. PRICE: $9900),I have a contract with a Shipping Comapny and I can ship it any were on my expense .
I have the car ready for shipping. I am sorry because I can't meet you, but I'm always on the road some small but important deals. My wife is out of the country for couple of weeks and with this war against Iraq, she will be moved in SPAIN for couple of years, and we will stay there. This is the reason I sell the car.
I want you to know that I am a difficult person to make deals with because I am a born dumb (mute) person. If you don’t want to continue, I will understand. Also, that is the reason that I choose Internet to sell my car. But, I can provide you any information,
to make you know the car better . Because the price is good, I have a lot of customers and e-mails.
So please, only if you accept my terms, reply this message, and let me know if you are interested. I told you that I'm a busy person, so I don't have time chatting for nothing.
For good order's sake, as a sign of good fate and in order to ensure me as Seller that you are indeed a trustworthy and genuine Buyer i will need a down payment on a escrow website in the amount of $9900. The escrow will hold the funds until you receive and transfer the car. When we will meet with the car and you inspected, the escrow will give me the money, only if you agree with it.

I think this is the safest and the fastest way to finish this deal since my condition as a mute person is a heavy one. The car is in the best shape ever, never involved in accident ,no scratches, no dents, the title is clear.I closed the deal for an ******* and now he told me that he don t have the money to buy the car so please tell me if you are a serious buyer or not.

The car is still for sale : 1987 Ferrari : 3.2 Mondial The asking PRICE is : $9900, miles : 25553, perfect condition, never involved in accident ....the car is perfect but i need money for my wife so thats way the price is low.

I posted the ad on more states because i want to sell the car very fast.

    Regards!

    Tino.

I work in DC so went by the spanish embassy, the car has never lived there

this scam came up on collector car trader about a year or so ago. Seems some guy was selling a 1987 Testarossa for $14,000. The conditions were exactly the same. Money held in escrow till the deal was finalized. Buyer beware!!!!

A friend emailed that to me and asked if it was legit. Of course, I advised him that it was not, so my friend wanted to see how far this guy would take it. My friend contacted him and told him that he was very interested in the car and was ready to pay cash--which was true.

My friend was in DC last week and said that he wanted to see the car. Funny, he never received a response.

Hmm... it looks like tps-online.net is one big scam. I think I will report them to BBB.

1, It was registered a month ago to somebody in Missouri.
    2. The web site contact phone number appears to be a cell phone who when I call is unavailable.
    3. These are its listed addresses:

    TPS Online.net, Inc.
    751-2 KOEHLER AVE.
    RONKONKOMA, NEW YORK 11779

    Chairman or Chief Executive Officer
    KENNETH FALKOWSKI
    3 W. MAIN ST.
    APT. #3
    Plantation, FL

    Principal Executive Office
    KENNETH FALKOWSKI
    3 WEST MAIN STREET
    Plantation, FL

    4. Yet its listed fax number is in Madison, CT.

    5. There is no company history

    6. No list of fees or charges

    7. Its grammer is horribly bad, similar to that written in the scam letter.

I bet though that they make most of their money from selling emails to spam, though I feel sorry for anybody who sends them a check.

So I called the BBB. They're HQ is registered in Missouri, addrsss in NY, fax in CT, and "contact" number is a cell phone in Miami. I'll report them to the Miami BBB.

Edit update: The Miami BBB is unreachable by phone due to the wait period... it times out and hangs up on me. The National Fraud "hotline" gives me a busy signal at all times, so I give up. Buyer beware.

i get a kick out of the many different scams these idiots come up with in the mail everyday offering to buy one of the vehicles advertised and usually with a cashiers check amount larger than what the item is priced for etc.
answering them back can bring hours of enjoyment however when they think they are close to the money.

I tried to call the proper fraud reporting numbers, but am unable to get through to a human after an hour of waiting... so I gave up the effort since I don't actually have a personal interest in them. Sometimes it seems the BBB is as big of a scam as the companies they represent.
