Has anyone heard this? Apparenty the car is sitting in a whare house near the factory (Corsa Clienti departement) Nobody knows how much they're asking.. Here's a picture of the Enzo GT in that whare house: http://speed.*************/IMG?viewPic=y&source=board&dir=2004-6-11&p=d&f=8&t=123999&m=2424305&auth=PandaBeat
Yup indeed... But its safe to say its a factory Enzo GT. The body is 100% Enzo but as for the engine we don't know. It could have 660 bhp stock or maybe more? Like the 288 GTO Evoluzione and the F50 GT this car hasn't been raced.
i buoght that MODEL, the intakes ontop are from straws, not worth the money i paid for it, approx £80.00, but a nice addition to my collection
I wouldn't believe it if it wasn't sitting in between a 640 and a F399!! I agree with the mule of the MC12. What a rare beauty, and the wing does balance out the design quite well.
I would love to see that one race for real, together with the MC12 perhaps at Le Mans next year in a class of their own . BTW i think it looks very good !!
yes, it is for sale. In a recent Fifth Gear episode, you can see this car and see it for sale. They mention that you can buy it. Go to that viper 007 site or whatever it is to download the episode. I highly recommend you do, actually, it's a really good one. It's the episode in which they go to the Ferrari factory with the guy buying the F1 and show the entire process by which you buy important cars from Ferrari.
I think its stupid Ferrari is selling it. They should keep it for their history...it looks like they are desperatly needing $$$ ...
Even Ferrari could not afford to keep all the historic automobiles they have built. Instead they are sold to collectors who get to experience them. When there is a special Ferrari hosted event; owners are happy to partipate in those occasions. Even the old F1 cars get a new lease on life and they continue to promote Ferrari and it's sponsor agreements for years... ch
I just hope Ferrari will let the new owner do whatever he wants with the car. Remember when Ferrari sold those F50 GT , it was said on the contract that the car must never be raced.
Me too... Greg Hurst, where did you get a model of that car...? Or did you have one custom made...? i would love to get my hands on a model of that car and the MC12 for that matter, as well...
I have that Fifth Gear episode on my computer, so I just watched that scene again with the Enzo GT. The picture at the start of this thread is a still image capture from that episode (aired May 3rd). I looked at the video more closely and it had the name "A. Bertolini" on the side of the car, which is the name of Andrea Bertolini, Ferrari's test car driver. Interesting I was just at the factory and this car was in Corsa Cliente building, but was in the NOT FOR SALE area..... this car is extremely crude, almost homemade in the way it was put together and it looked very mean! unless something happened in the last 60 days, this car is not for sale. it is reserved with other historical cars that will be rotated through the museum.
This car sits in the first room on the left side of the building, actually none of the cars in that room are available for sale... they are either historically significant and or to new to be sold. An F1 car must be at least 2 years old before it is available, the thinking is that a 1 to 2 year Ferrari F1 car still has secrets that are valuable... This is a very interesting building, it looks like nothing from the outside, in fact I do not remember seeing any Ferrrari signs anywhere... but there are millions of dollars of race cars inside!
Chaps, Check this out http://www.ferraribuy.com/fb/listcar.php?make=fer&modelID=52# An 'F50 GT' for a mere Euro 680k.
thks i know all that but currently Ferrari isnt really producing historical or important cars every week..
Thanks for the info Chris. It wasn't for sale last time you went. Weird... I will have to recheck will the guy who told me it was sale. Do you have any infos on the car? (bhp, weight)
