Someone should at least spring for the correct spark plug wires before the holes fill up with water.

Just thought I'd pass this along in case anyone was interested:

From the owner: "According to my service records, approx $1,800 was spent in December of 2004 on gaskets, bearings, seals etc. According to the carfax, I'm guesstimating that the car was in the 35k mileage range at the time. The car was in a fender bender in 1988. The front nose was replaced but there was no frame damage. Neither myself nor my mechanic can find any rust present on or under the car."

Take that for what its worth.....

I had spoken to the owner of this car when it was in Florida. It was originally owned by an airline pilot, I think, and he's the one who did all the mods. I believe the fellow I was in contact with was is named Brian and he is a part owner of a small dealership in FL (Gads, I'm chagrinned that I can't remember the name or FL city)I actually spoke to the mechanic, as well, and was told that the car would not pass CA smog. At the time, the car was being offered for around 30K but it was too far for me to go look at it, though I did give it serious consideration (love those red seats and such!). I think it's a great looking 308, if you're okay with it being far from original. If I think of anything else, I'll pass it on. At that price, however, a good PPI could lend to a relative steal :)

    Cordially,

    Scott
