    Hi,

I'm looking for some detailed pics of the black "sideskirts" on a 328. The area below the door, between the wheels.
How are these supposed to look?
All pics/info highly appreciated! Thx :)

    Alex,

While I don't have pics of these, I can tell you that they are NOT supposed to look smooth, but rather fairly rough and bumpy. Assuming this is the kind of information/confirmation that you are after...

(in fact, I DO have pics, but they'll not show the texture of the surface, just that they are black)

    Thanks Hans and Ettore :)
That was the info and pic I was looking for.
So, on these pics, the area is refinished but it looks like it originaly should?

The spoiler definitely looks like the original finish. I believe the rocker panels do as well, however, it was a bit difficult for me to tell as someone had painted over the original finish with a smooth flat black paint. When I began sanding, I found a texured finish that was identical to the Wurth product that I ended up putting on. The paint was recommended by several board members who stated it was an identical match to the original finish. Hope this helps!

So did you sand off the old coating completely or just over spray it?

Sanded the old coating off completely. Spoiler was no big deal as I removed it and did the work at a bench. I imagine that the rocker panels would have been a pain with the car on the ground, however, on the lift it was no big deal. Prior to putting on the Wurth product I prepped with black primer.
