[18/06/04 - 10:24] Woods earns more than Schumacher While Schumacher is unimpressed with Indy Tiger Woods earned more than Michael Schumacher in '03 - but only just. Forbes magazine said the world's richest athlete made $81m, just a few dollars more than Ferrari's six-times world champion through salary and endorsements. At Indianapolis on Thursday, the rain fell while Schumacher talked to the media. "I've heard it's supposed to turn cooler over the weekend now," he commented. The German isn't giddy for the Speedway's special F1 layout. "Maybe it's better if we run around the oval," he laughed. "What we get is a compromise. It's not the challenge of Spa, Suzuka, those sorts of circuits." - F1-live.net I heard Michael was the top earner in sports for several years, and made over $90 million in 2002. Not too shabby!
As far as the $$ goes: Schumacher still wins as his tax burden is a fraction of Woods. In regards to his comment about Indy: Whoa! I bash MS for never speaking his mind and he pulls this one out. Fantastic! I hope Tony George hears this.
Who cares ... I'm sure MS and Woods do not. And yep I agree with MS other than the small part of the real track the Indy F1 track is worse than Melbourne ... which sucks IMO. Pete's opinion
