I haven't read or seen to much on this wheel. So I figured I do a little write up on it. :)

I know some of my "Big Wheel" brothers need a spare and it seems that a Volvo spare is the way to go with a little mod on the center hole of the spare. I looked, called a few junk yaaards and came up with nothing. So at the end I picked up a 8X16 308 rear wheel to use as a spare. I just didn't get around to getting the tire.

I always wanted one of those Dino spares, cause they are small, and could never find one. Well, I finally won one on Ebay the other day.

It's a little rough, must have been left out in the rain, but the tire in like new. No cracks or dry rot. And to tell you the truth, I think it still has the original air in it!

Blah Blah Blah here are some pictures of it.:)

Congrats Chris, is that one of those 55MPH spare tire?

What's wrong with the full size spare besides the space?

You're not gonna DRIVE on that, are you??

    However, very cool.

I'd just be concerned that if I ever had t use it, it would blow out faster than the tire it replaced.

Saw one get used for over 1000 miles across the southwest desert. Hardly any wear.

They were TUV approved (toughest of any of the countries approval systems) for 150 or 160kph.

The same tire with DOT approval was 80kph

I think CenterLine Wheels makes something similar that are use for their drag racing, only 3 1/2 inch wide

Chris, your red calipers with the FERRARI stenciled in them are nice.
How did you do that lettering with a powdercoat?
It had to be powdercoating due from the temp it will see, right?

    Thanks. :)

No, the stencil is not powdercoated, I think more like high temps stickers. Martin, at Girodisc said they wont come off.
