Does anyone know what Russo and Steele's Monterey auction 1974 GTS Dino, Lot #1077, was bid up to?
It was a no sale and purported to have just finished a cost-no-object restoration.

I own the car, it had a real money bid of $225,000 I think Russo and Steele was not the correct auction to be at for my car it would have seen high 200s or over 300 at RM.

I mainly attended the RM auction, where there were only a handful of no-sales, then late Saturday evening I went over to the garage where they kept the Russo and Steele cars and was surprised at how many no-sales they had.

Russo and Steele generally had muscle cars and the lower-value European cars, it seemed to me.
What you say about your car having brought more at RM may be true, because no bidder can be in two places at once.

Did you see the 246GT that sold for $154K at RM?
    It was pretty spotless.

I did see that car at RM it was a nice Dino but not spotless, the car had many problems, but after the new owner spends $75k to $100K on it than he will have a spotless car!
