Drove down to Laguna Seca on Sunday with a bunch of cars from the San Francisco dealership. Thumbs up to them for organizing the group drive! Saw a bunch of great lapping with recent F1 Ferraris (the sounds sends a tingle down my spine), FXX cars, and the F430 Challenge series race. The paddock was filed with an amazing variety of great cars, old and new, included 2 Porsche 959s, GTO, many 599s, gullwing Merc, tons of vintage Lotus, Porsche, every other marque racers which I'm not very knowledgeable of but were great to see. Obviously everyone is preparing for the Monterey Historics next weekend, it was great to get an early preview without the crowds. I'll post lots of pics on my site soon but for now I'll leave you with two unique Ferraris. Not sure if anyone has seen this funky opalescent yellow Scud, but it was definitely eye catching in person. You can't tell from my pics but it had interior accents with same color. Second car is a mystery to me, looks like a custom Ferrari made from a 612...

The "coustom" Ferrari is actually a Ferrari 575 Zagato. Very rare car indeed. Awesome pics by the way! :D

Not feeling the side skirt treatment on the Scud. At first glance I thought the whole rocker was missing/damaged.

Both 575 Zagato & flashy yellow Scud are pretty cool!

They are certainly different among others in fleet, I believe.

    Cheers for sharing,

Does this car have the rear carbon pack as it looks like the panels around the engine bay cover have carbon surrounds as opposed to just having the steel mesh.

Lamboish colors on a Scud just don't work.

I spec'd that for my scud (on white). Factory not accepting orders with it anymore; problem with supplier apparently. I don't think it works very well on that particular color ... but I have to say I prefer that color to Giallo Modena ...

Love the color! Sort of a "Giallo Fuji" flavor.

Love the custom colour of the Scud. The carbon air intake is a bit too much though...

As for the Zagato... Errr, what can I say: they have not changed their design cues for decades (bubble roof), but I have not seen the car in the flesh so... One thing for sure, I don't think that it's very aerodynamically effective (front and rear-end lift at high speed) because of the shape of the rear and front...

I saw it, it looked pearl yellow to me. I guess that's what you mean by opalescent. It was the first scud I liked.

He also owned the white 599. I was told he owns Boardwalk Ferrari. They had the most outrageous service rig. It had an upstairs viewing area on top with full canopy and an attached covered area on the ground that was enclosed and air conditioned.
