    The ZR-1 should do betterr.

Not sure what difference it all makes except bragging rights. Best

doubt ZR-1 will do better. it will be limited by it's chassis and won't do a better time than F599.......

I wonder how long this hype is going to last. Seems like you can't mention the word Nurburgring on car forums these days without mentioning the fable GT-R 7:29. Has it always been like this with the NRing and GT-R?

This entire Nurburgring business is a bit confusing. For example, drivers, standing vs rolling starts, etc. Then there are manufacturer differences. For example the ZR-1 averaged 205mph but apparently GM requires this to be done by two runs within a certain time frame. Maybe some do and some don't (really don't know). Then the question arises , is the car used is an actual production car? Then we chime in with our preferences and criticisms.

As many have stated before, those of us participating in this forum enjoy our Ferrari's, and some of us have other cars for different reasons. It is nice to be able to make choices. Best

I am sorry, but I feel like you only start threads if you can find a way to through in porsche figures in there. Which of course will be better or you wouldn't have started the thread in the first place. Don't mean to start an argument but some non-biased reporting of numbers would be nice now and again.

Bingo. 99.9% of GT-R's and ZR-1 won't even make it to Germany, let alone the ring.

For brisk, country side driving, I'd rather be doing 110 in a Scuderia than a GT-R or ZR-1.

If you are not in Germany (Autobahn) I hope you are on a race track (at 110). Best

In his defense, (I don't keep up with his posts). But the Ferrari's number in a vacuum doesn't have any value. You kinda HAVE to mention other numbers below it and above it for it to mean anything.

    ok ok everyone....

ferrari is the best poseurs car.....

porsche is the best drivers car......

maybe if ferrari would have spent more time on designing the chassis than the steering wheel lights it would have posted a better time.

frankly, i had the highest regard for the scud and still have...but 7,39 is far below what i would have thought it's capable of.

what's funny is that on other threads, porsche's racing heritage is questioned......but when an f is clearly outclassed by a p it's called bragging rights.....

    i certainly agree with you....

but in all honesty, weren't all of you expecting the scud to beat the GT2 around the track ?
i thought it to be on par at least.

it might tickle all your senses but it did not turn out to be what we expected when it comes to subjective numbers.
