Just a warning about the 29k 1989 328 GTS in So Cal. I looked at this car seriously this past summer. Although the California title is clean, a CARFAX will show a Florida salvage title issued in 1992 due to major traffic collision. The seller will claim ignorance. Unfortunately, the title has been "washed" by registering the car through several states, some of which do not report "salvage" on their titles. Once the paper title has no indication of salvage history, the car can be titled in California clean.

Although he probably had no part in the shenanigans employed to clean the title, the seller is definitely aware of the prior salvage status. I know because I told him about it. Don't get stuck with a previously undisclosed salvage car. I have a strange feeling that California DMV will be taking a long look at this car when it is eventually sold, or when the owner attempts to re-register it.

www.autotrader.com there is a nice 89 328 for sale from salerno motorsports $62,000. Hope this helps if only it were in Ontario Canada. Does anyone know this car?

Salerno Motorsports is where my car is serviced. If anyone wants me to take a peek at it I would be happy to. Probably not much of a need as Ben Salerno is an extremely nice, trustworthy, stand up guy.
