Neat books about Ferrari continue to come, and this is a good one. Written and largely photographed by John Lamm, laid out by Chuck Queener, it has a good pedigree. As the subname suggests, this is largely a collection of reminiscences by Ferrari notables, accented by the great photography. Nearly all Ferrari models--for race or road--are illustrated.

Among the notables are drivers (P. Hill, Andretti, Gurney, Shelby, Frere, Surtees, Posey, Redman), designers (Pininfarina, Scaglietti, Forghieri, Giugiaro) and other notables (Gozzi, Montezemolo, Klementaski, even Ralph Lauren).

It is a big (11 x 12-1/4 inches, 288 pages), heavy book, but IMO is well worth the price ($60 US), and you can get it at discount from amazon.com. Definitely one to add to your coffee table!

Chuck Queener is probably one of the finest graphics guys out there.

I have a lot of his work and he also did some AWESOME Ferrari work for Road and Track.

A 'no brainer' here, order yours today!

I have already read through my copy. The personal anecdotes that someone mentioned above are something different and very interesting. Unfortunately, some of the content is recycled from back issues of Road & Track and Rosso Ferrari. There are also a variety of typos in the text that should have been edited out. However, considering that the book is available on Amazon for under $40 shipped you really can not go wrong.

BS Levy wrote a series of novels ( The Last Open Road, Montezuma's Ferrari) with more facts than fiction about racing back in the 50's. Lots of stuff about racing in US and Euope and Ferrari's run and dominance. Very enjoyable series, I highly recommend them. He's very long winded and somewhat repetative but I haven't found anything else written like this.
