Old Ferrari fighter getting ready for takeoff.
Jim, Man are your teams ever going to finish these cars , I'm getting really impatient for some updates on the P3/4 ... I must ask, how do you replace the fan (er, water pump) belt on the Lola ... looks like an engine pull job!!! to me. Wouldn't a toothed belt be a better bet? Anyway the Lola is not far off me thinks (?). Pete
I'll be testing the Lola next week and then it's coming home, DONE. To change the belts you remove seats, open cockpit access, loosen motor mounts and you can just do it. Engine out isn't too bad if you have too but I hope not to for years. While we're out there (Indy) we're fabing a few final bits for P 3/4. (Header tank needs a slight mod and Air box a slight trim) Engine is in and that won't be long either. Ford and Duesey are running fine. Best Jim
Arh, lots of work has been completed and no pictures!!! ... fair enough your a busy man I do envy the fun you and your teams are having at the moment. It will be a pity in some ways when they are 100% complete, as you will have nothing to play with ... guess you will have to find another interesting saga to restore. Thanks for update. Pete
i cant wait to see a pic of the Lola, 0846, and the gt40 side by side, done and completed!!!!!!!! Duesy in the background in side profile!!! grin! grin!
This weekend Mark Collins from UK is coming by to have a look and I'm sure he'll snap a few. I can't wait for that pic either! BTW the Lola will be at the Greenwich, CT Concors on sunday June 6th. Best
Rear aux. water radiator. This makes a huge difference. This car can idle on a 100 deg day with the AC on. Fan is controlled by a dash switch. Glove box and fire system. Dual zone SPA 4 liter system. AC/Heater lines, heater control valve. We're shooting to test on sat.
