    I have noticed a few questions on Picture resizing and the best way to do this for posting to F-chat - and enabling those without High Speed Internet easier access to smaller pics.

    Here is a link to Picture Resizer - which is a free program and easy to use... There are several out there - however this one is very easy - step by step and you can size them however you would like.

    PS. It looks like we are the computer consultants for F-chat (though Rob has not updated my little title thingy yet..)

    I think Rob needs to put a computer discussion area - for any questions etc. We could also post helpful hints, good free apps to use, etc.

    As you are discussing computer stuff, I have a question.

    Someone set my computer up, sometime ago, to boot Windows XP automatically without having to click the little sign in icon on the welcome screen. It was fine.

    Then, I decided I needed a password. So, I set it up so that there is now a password.

    The only problem is that it still tries to log in automatically. So, most of the time, it will: 1. try to do so, 2. but since I haven't entered a pasword yet some window will pop up saying you have to enter the correct password, so 3. I hit enter and it lets me enter the password.

    However, more and more frequently, it will just freeze trying to boot up. I haven't entered the password yet and it tries booting up automatically, obviously gets confused, and then just freezes saying "Loading" even though it's doing nothing of the kind.

    How can i get it to stop trying to boot automatically? Thanks.

    p.s. in either of those programs can you resize multiple pictures at once and if so, how?

    Excellent questions...if your program for resizing pictures doesn't have a batch mode, it's useless.

    For the sign-on problem, search support.microsoft.com and find out what registery keys are involved. Change them back, and then create a user with a password, and you should be ok.

    Free and it's from Microsoft and will do as many images as you have all at once.

    Try this zjpj: Start > Run > msconfig -- Click on the "Start up" Tab and

    disable msn messenger (I think that's the thing that's buggin you)

    Edit: I'd love to be a computer consultant also!

    You should fill out the consultant app... I am sure Rob will Rotate Consultants (not sure of the frequency)... With all the stuff in the Tech Field - you input is huge.
