I would like to try to make it, but I will have to check with the boss. She always plans everything months in advance.

when u go to these track events, is it strongly recommended that you first go to like a Skip Barber racing class first? or will you be able to manage on the track without a racing class?

If you want to drive on the track at this Challenge event with other owners, you'll need to buy the package through an official dealership that's participating at the event (e.g., Miller or FoNE/LI, though WWoC may as well).

It's broken up into two groups, touring and expert. Touring is supposed to be more friendly towards novices, with speeds limited and passing not allowed. Expert is for people with experience, either at a Skippy-type school or club Driver's Ed experience.

Last year, the rules were, uh, not quite followed. TFC, as I call it. Total Friggin' Chaos - but in a good way. RIDICULOUSLY FUN. Lots of idiots out there, but no incidents, amazingly enough. :) If you don't have racing school or Driver's Ed experience, sign up for Touring. You'll have lots of fun, no one was checking speeds last year, and there was plenty of passing....
