What a great day everyone. First of all, I need to say thank you to Mike Phillips and Jaime Araya at Meguiars for hosting us. Thanks also to everyone who made it out, despite the rain.

I think we all had a great time, and learned alot about keeping our cars looking great. The event started at around 9:00 AM, and we spent some time in the classroom with the meguiars guys. As a bonus, Barry Meguiar himself showed up and told us a little about the Meguiars history and answered questions from the group. After the classroom session, out to the garage to work on our cars. I took tons of photos, so I'll post a bunch here. First set is the lineup of cars. Notice that it rained abit, and some of our cars actually got wet!!!

Great photos. My dad was unable to make because he has been extreamly busy. He hasn't been on the computer in a LONG time.

Well anyway, I am now back from my trip to D.C., Philidelphia, and New York. I had a GREAT time, especially in New York. The best part of the trip...and authentic Philly Cheese Steak. My god that was good! :) I am glad to be back, and when I got home to F-chat, there was 1 and a half PAGES to read just in SoCal. I finally finished!

Will there be another Detail Day again soon?

    -David

Thanks. They are made by Novitec Rosso and are the first retail set sold in the country (except for one on CEC's display Modena and Paul Tracy's Spyder). They are very "Enzo-looking" and look incredible in person.

Hey Jerry. That is a special orbital-type buffer that Meguiars sells (about $220). We all tried it and it is one incredible machine. There is literally no way to burn the paint or "over buff" it. With the application of products specific to your car's needs - it is amazing what it can do. I thought I knew how to really make my car shine! These guys took it to the next level for me. I ordered one of the buffer's on the spot. I think Rick did as well. It's well worth the money!

Here are I few I snapped.

The first is Barry Meguire himself! what a great opportunity to meet such an avid supporter of the classic car hobby.

The third and fourth shots are of Jeffrey's sweet 360 Modena. Get a load of that six speed!!!! What a great shifter- no doubt a small part of what a Ferrari is all about.

Darn.... Missed a great event!... Nobody needed it more!.. Unfortunatly I was on "Rain Coverup" duty on a couple of major projects that were open to the H2O.

Anyone have a summary of tips and tricks?

Ron, I will happily bring you up to speed. A few of us noticed your absence. I think you could benefit quite a bit. I'll catch up with you if you are in attendance at the breakfast on Sunday.
