This looks very bad. I checked the papers and can't find any more about it. Anyone know anything? Image Unavailable, Please Login
OUCH That is horrible. I hope the driver and passenger are safe. Very bad looking crash and a tradgic thing to happen to such a beautiful Lamborghini. I hope both of the people in the car have a speedy recovery!
That car looks familiar...I have seen a very similar Countach in the driveway of a home on Palisades Ave not far from 9W. It is on the left as you head up the road just past Dwight Englewood School. I would imagine that there aren't many of these around...I hope that they are both still with us and make a full recovery.
Wow that looks pretty bad, I don't think the Countach had airbags back then, could anybody clarify. Joey
Eric - that is the car. The driver was rather badly injured. I saw the car and the aftermath. The pole penetrated the driver's side foot-box, the instrument cluster was on the opposite side of the street. Clyde - you have a PM.
I heard his foot was still in his shoe but, heard from a friend. My dad saw the accident in person said it was ****ing rediculous. Jamieson may have pictures i will ask him
Not airbags... more like plastic sheeting to cover up something unpleasant. Thoughts and prayers to the Father and Son.
I believe it is the Lambo from Palisade Ave. I was on Palisade ave headed west (down the hill) on Saturday and saw it going east up the hill. I saw the picture in the Record and was not impressed in the way the car came apart. The whole passenger area came apart unlike the Ferrari accidents where the cocoon stays intact. I have found nothing else in the paper on this wreck. Jon Jerman
Leon, The system won't allow me to send you a PM and I don't have your e-mail so I'll post my response here: I don't have the picture any more. If you check at your local libary, you should be able to find a copy of the Bergan record from last weekend & hence the picture.
Jon... I suspect the photo above was taken AFTER the rescue crew cut the roof off the car. I dont think looks like that solely from the accident.
Hello.. My parents are friends with the driver and driver's sister. It infact is the same countach you see on Palisades Ave. The son is ok but im getting mixed feed back of the father who was driving regarding the leg/foot rumors. He is in intensive care from what I have heard and has undergone surgery. Keep him in your prayers. Once i get confirmation of his condition, hopefully positive, I will post about it.
My prayers are with them, man that looks bad.. The countach is so damn tiny on the inside, getting in an accident would be HORRIBLE
Does anyone know or could they find out what became of this car? I am assuming it was totaled, but where did it end up? I am searching for a trunk lid for my car, and if this car went to a salvage yard or parts outlet, I might be able to acquire it. Thanks for the help in advance.
Nice post', the board is thinking about prayers for this poor guy and his kid and this guy has the balls to ask about part's. USE YOUR HEAD!!
+1 I mean you may not have expected that type of response from PizzaPrince but out of respect I don't we should discuss acquiring parts of this mans car. I hope that owner is having a healthy recovery
Sorry for the wording in my last post. I feel that when a serious situation such as this happens to an Unfortunate person and or family, thought's and prayer's should be at the top of list.He could be a fellow f chat brother for all we know.Once again i apologize for the harch wording.
This was in April , Anybody heard about the father since then ?? I hope he is back on the road with his son .
