Sure, we all love our cars, have shrines in the garage, etc. But is there one thing about your Ferrari that annoys you? I'm not talking about "Yeah, my 308 GTSi needs an F430 engine dropped in there" kind of stuff - just minor peeves.

(The reason for this thread is that I'm meeting someone for lunch, have about 20 minutes to kill before I leave the house and it was between asking this or confirming timing belt change intervals.)

    1. The first minor annoyance on the 328 is the targa top tonneau cover - does it have to be that tight? Unless the top is perfectly positioned between the seat belt retractors I need Gov. Schwarzenegger to help me fasten the snaps.

    2. Second one is the battery location. I know that's the logical place for it - keep the weight low and centered, etc. But it takes less time to access a safe deposit box than it does to swap the damn battery, unless you have a circus acrobat on call that day. (For those who don't know, it's under a panel, under the spare, in the front-hinged front bonnet.)

The 360 alarm is active, and resets itself within 30 seconds if you don't get in and start the car. So when you walk up to the car with your date, hit the remote to disarm, walk around the car, kiss your date, open her door, let her in, shut her door, walk back to your door, open it, get in, put the key in the ignition, patiently wait for the engine check to complete, then turn the key, absolutely nothing happens. And you can't just hit the remote button again to disarm. You have to turn the key back, take the key out, hit the button again, put the key back in, re-patiently wait for the engine check to complete, then turn the key to start the car. AGGRAVATING!!!

For my 355 Spider, I would have to say the "ruberized" interior panels. Unfortunatly we had the car detailed last spring and I forgot to tell the guys NOT to put anything on them. Sure enough, they are now starting to get sticky. Damn.
Oh well, time to get some carbon fiber.

The tonneau cover fit is way too snug on my 355 spider. I don't even try to snap the two snaps at the back by the rear window, it just ain't gonna happen. If I ever did manage to get them done, I am afraid of the damage I would do compressing the window under it.

You should try the battery on a Diablo. It's ahead of the left rear wheel. You have to remove the wheel and part of the inner fender.

A/C that spits out a little cool air, as long as it's under 80 degrees outside.

Window motors that are slow as mollasses.

Parts that I have to sell my kids' blood to pay for.

    ahh.... the joys of ownership.

I'll second this! I'm not sure if it's the same way on the regular 360 as it is with the CS, but the starter will actually try to turn over the engine even after the alarm resets (I guess the alarm must cut out the ignition). So onlookers wonder why your Ferrari won't start. :)

You CAN use the key fob to turn the alarm off while it's still in the ignition switch though, which is nice.

Seriously, the cheesy feel of some of the electric accessories, like the control for the electric side mirrors - probably standard Fiat equipment of the day.

I would have to say I love everything about my 348. Except for the dodgy light stalk/switch. It is starting to wear out. Sometimes takes one or two goes to turn lights on. Must be slipping or something. :):)
Other than that, I LOVE my car. :D:D

No mate. That is a friends little guy that I took for a drive in the 348 on Boxing Day last December. I also got him that hat and shirt for the occasion. :) He loved every minute of it. I saw his Dad the other day and he said Tommy still keeps talking about the drive and he told all his mates at school last week. School holidays are over and all the kids are back at school as of last week. :):)

I have no kids, (that I know of anyways ;);)) only a little nephew named GG. He will also have a brother or sister this August. :)

It would be nice to have a remote to get into the trunk rather than having to open the car door and reach under the dash. My Boxster S has remotes for both trunks which is hand when you are carring something in your hands and have to put it in the trunk.

I would also like to have a lift to go over speed bumps like the Enzo has.

    Otherwise, perfect.

When I park it, kids come up to me and ask me what year it is or if they can have a picture with it (without me)
