This has been a very interesting Formula One season so far. Michael Schumacher, Ferrari and Bridgestone have found their swagger again. Formula One world champion Fred, better known as Fernando Alonso and Renault are feeling the heat. Is there enough time for Schuey take the points lead and to win another world title? Come and watch the Grand Prix live on Sunday Sept 10 2006 and watch the drama unfold.

The primary purpose of this event is to give F1 fans an opportunity to enjoy a race among fellow enthusiasts. It is also an opportunity for US Formula One enthusiasts to make their voices heard. This will provide us the unique opportunity to tell Formula One management—in no uncertain terms—that the USGP needs to continue. If we can attract a large crowd, my contacts at the Speed Channel will make sure that Formula Management is informed. There is even a chance that the Speed Channel will cover the event. However, the only way to insure this is with a very large crowd, one that RSVPs early and one that is committed to attending. Our goal is to attract at least 100 spectators to the event.

Currently there are two locations interested in hosting this event, Cheteau Elan near Road Atlanta and Andretti Indoor Karting and games in Roswell. Andretti Indoor Karting and games appears to be the best location. Its location is closer to Atlanta and it offers a great post race activity. However, due to cost that will be incured due to opening early, Andretti management requires proof of positive feedback from a large audience. If we cannot get this positive feedback, they will not be interested in hosting the event.

He called me on Friday saying that there was only 50 people and he needs 80 before Andretti will open.. Speed Channel is sending a crew --IF IT IS A GO.

Andretti's is not willing to open at 7am with this amount of people
