I was looking at the e-bay tool kit thread and it made me think. When I purchased my Daytona it came with a tool kit inside the jack bag. I knew it was not a correct tool kit for the Daytona but it was looked period correct. When I owned my Dino it did not have a tool kit so I don't have a lot of reference to go by.

Anyhow, I thought I would post these pictures and let the group comment if this is indeed a Dino tool kit. It may very well be a reproduction but it looks old enough to be real.

    Just curious.

The 13/17 wrench has SIRCODIN written on it. The 12/14 and 19/22 have no markings.

    MOST IMPORTANT QUESTION -

Is it for sale? If so, well, you can email me (don't bother PMing me), just as easy to email me directly through my profile, at least I think it is).

No, its not for sale. I did not post for that reason. Just wanted to know what I had.

I had not seen the one currently on e-bay. Had no idea this had gotton so out of hand.

    Thanks for your comments,

Actually the last one I saw Tom sell on Ebay was in 2004 and only went to $1501.00 but it included the manual window crank.

    I saw that. Absolutely incredible.

I also saw the one that is around $3600 on e-bay right now.

My Dino tool kit came with my Daytona some years back. Wish I had the real leather style Daytona tool roll.

Crap, that has to be $7K, $8K, $9K.

A Daytona tool kit did not make reserve at something like $11,500 on ebay about 2 weeks ago. Maybe someone can post the ebay link?
    TIA,

I don't think the window crank is correct for a Dino. It fits my Daytona which is where the tool kit came from.

I think the Dino window crank did not have the gear on the end and was just a very simple rod with two "flanges" at the end to engage the winder mechanism.

The other stuff I think is the real deal.

Hey guys. Just wanted to let you know I ended up putting my Dino Tool kit on e-bay. It should be up in an hour or so.

If this is against the advertising rules I appologize and the moderators can certainlly delete this post but I had a couple of you contact me and I thought this was the reasonable thing to do.

    Regards,

    Drew Altemara

$3,200 to start on an incomplete tool roll.

This should be a good test of the current market value.

Could not agree with you more.

On the upside I have complete books and tools now, and no longer have to sweat the ever increasing prices on these.

The speculators among us must be chompin' at the bit to get their stuff out on the market.
