Well I said I was going to 'put them 360 wheels' on my 328...here is the teaser... Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
To tell you the truth I didnt think they would look good on the car. Too modern for that year of car. But now that they are actually on, I must say they look good! Nice choice. Can I ask how much the set cost? Are they new or used? thanks.
They look nice... They definitely look different and are sure to ire a purist or two, but who gives... Let's see shots of the whole car; no more teasers... Are your windows tinted...?
Ok ok...Just post a damned pic taken outside! It looks a lot better than I ever expected. I can't take the wait, I need instant gratification!
Yes, also they are the completely wrong tire at a 225/45-18 (they should be a 225/40-18 to keep the rolling diameter the same) Anyway, the point of the above excercise was to prove whether or not the wheels would stick out of the wheel wells with all 360 fronts. This is because offset differences cause the 360 wheel to stick out 12.85mm (~1/2in) more in the front then the ABS 328 wheel and stick out 25.65mm (~1in) more in the rear then the ABS 328 wheel. I hope everyone agrees with me, in that they do not stick out of the wheelwell. Here you can see that rear looks like we have enough room for an inch outward, but the fronts are worrying me... In fact on second thought I am worrying about the fronts... even though as I look at a ruler in front of me, 1/2 and inch looks to be just right.
Omar, Although I prefer stock, I have to say it looks nice and "modern." It looks better when you see it than when you imagine it. Ron
For what it is worth... I prefer originals.IEverrything is down to personal preference anyway. Ciao Eugenio
With so much space looking at the rotor you should get the calipers painted while you're at it, IMO. Don't know what your budget is, but maybe even a new full brake kit - the rotor looks small too, esp. compared to the wheel. That would probably run another $2-3k though. But, you'd stop a lot faster!
I prefer the original....This 360 is just way too modern for the 328. I personally think 328 need a sharper wheel design. 360's wheels are too soft. I am picturing wheels like Volk Racing TE37...or SE37K...these are japanese brand...very light very expensive and very distinctive...don't have the picture with me but I have a set of SE37K on my GTR....even my brother was thinking about putting them on his 360 at first... If you want to stand out...a nice set of Japanese wheels on a Ferrari will do.
I prefer the original 328 wheel. Too bad there isn't a large enough market for someone to start making 17" 328 wheels that resemble the stock wheel. That would be pretty cool.
They're very cool - OEM Factory rims. In fact, they're probably much easier to obtain than spare 328 rims, since the current fad with 360/Ricer/Bling-Bling owners is to immediately swap OEM rims for fancy chrome 'dubs'. If the Rims Fit, You Must Acquit!
