Imperial, I worried about you ... your blind faith postings have stopped. Look Ferrari will win again, probably this year ... keep the faith and chin up mate Forza Ferrari!!! Pete
Imperial83, what happened to all the Ferrari 1-2's you were so certain of? Schumacher hasn't won for 7 races now...
My girlfriend bet me £10 that Ferrari won't win a race this year. The sad fact is that I spent some time thinking about it before accepting the bet! Maybe they should get some Michelins and paint Bridgestone on the side!
Pretty funny stuff when you think about it. They go from their most dominant year ever, to their worst year since 1996.
Sure ... Ferrari will win a couple races though the drivers championship looks a little remote unless things turn around dramatically. The constructors looks remote too. In a way I am happy - Michael relished the fight in 2003. 2005 seems to be going the same direction only worse for Ferrari. A season like this might convince Michael to stay longer in F1. 2004 must have been a bore for him
Actually I made a prediction early in the season, that Ferrari will win ONE race. I'm darn certain they will do at least that. Maybe even more. They're down and out right now, but I'm certain they will bounce back. I don't think it'll be enough for the WC, but we will see the Schue again do his trademark jump on the podium. I have been wondering about Imperial myself. Not to rub it in, but how sad he must be right now.
tifosi12, Speaking of MS.. Your friend Irvine thinks that MS is the most boring champ ever. what he said... "I couldn't believe him at Imola," 39-year-old Irvine told BBC radio. "All he had to do was pass Fernando Alonso down the inside -- three years ago he would've done it. He's done worse things than that." "The guard is changing. Under pressure Alonso does not make the same mistakes that Michael does. Raikkonen is up there too." http://www.f1racing.net/en/news.php?newsID=85748
Eddie is probably still sour grapes over the lack of support he got from Michael at Suzuka in 1999. I have to agree with him about the boring part, interviews with MS are the worst. To be fair, it is also a different time and game, corporate money has a much bigger role than it used to. I'm sure Michael is a fine chap to hang out with and could be more colorful if he'd choose to be so. Heck, I wonder who from the current field would actually make for an interesting champion? JPM probably and Trulli potentially.
Hey, leave him alone. I feel his pain, the bad memories of the 80's and the 90's are all flooding back in again. And for some of you, I wouldn't hold the nose up so high, as I recall that in the beginning of the 2004 season, some people here on the forum were calling for heads because Ferrari was not winning the Winter GPs and that the F-2004 was so plain that you were all ready to throw in the towels before the first race in 04. Remember that or do I have to actually revive that old thread?? Fact is, we all know that sooner or later, Ferrari will have a season like the one we are having right now. As a TRUE fan, we stand behind our team regardless if they win or not, if we don't, we will no longer be following the sport and thus, no longer a Tifosi. PS: Run, Imperial, run!! I got your back, my brother.
Amen to that. Actually I was thinking, that this season has some positive effect on the whole Ferrari bandwagon fans. There are too many of those and this season will help get rid of some. When they start selling cameras and PCs with the logo it has gotten way too mainstream.
This is true, Kimi would be pretty bad though. More boring than MS if that's even possible. Hey anyone else notice that Trulli has been mopping up the floor with old Ralfie boy?. That's gotta put his panties in a bunch, lol
With Kimi it is part of his national culture, remember Mika? Michael as a German really has no excuse, remember Stuck? But I really think it is down to today's PR and PC filtered interviews. At least his face speaks loud and clear... Trulli? When they came across the finish line within a second? I wouldn't call that mopping the floor. I'm just happy to see Toyota finally getting their act together.
Yeah I was one of them ... and I still always will be concerned that Ferrari is not pushing the advancement barrier enough. This thread was not intended to be a laugh at Imperial thread ... more where is he? I honestly do not think he is a fair weather fan and with our friendly banter over the months ... well I guess I miss him and his out their attitude Pete
12 points behind your teammate in the standings is getting mopped up by any standards. Melborne 13 positions behind in qualifying, 3 behind in the race, Sepang 3 behind, finished 3 behind, Bahrain 3 behind, finished 2 behind, spain 1 ahead finished 1 behind. Would you be happy with this? That's getting a tail kicking pretty much...
FERRARI 1 - 2 at Monaco!!! I am currently in the process of relocating to Italy to work for the factory pro bono.
Arh still rooting for them I see ... and no mention of excuses, etc. Yep Forza Ferrari, we all need the boost of a 1-2 at Monaco. Pete
Congrats on your professional life, sounds very interesting! A Monaco 1-2 would be sweet, but I'm not sure it is in the cards. But Monaco has definitely the better chance to see red on the podium again than many of the races to follow. Skillwise and temperaturewise.
I don't know about that, i believe the renault still has a torque advantage which would serve them well at Monaco. My pick, Fisi.....
Agreed. I'm just saying of the races coming this summer, Monaco and possibly Montreal and Silverstone have the best chances for cool weather which seems what the Bridgestones need to do their job.
This is true as well. I still expect a renault on top at Monaco though, with Trulli having and outside shot. Canada and Silverstone should give them a good chance, i'd say. I wonder what would happen if it rained.........lol
