Count me in.
Car back fresh from a major major and looking forward to seeing everyone. Will there be a drive after ? > I am itching
Drives always happen, assuming weather is okay and the right leader(s) are there. Even if the latter doesn't happen, people usually step up to the plate.
Love to Boys but going to a Birthday Party in Ventnor for the the weekend. See you the following! Jon in Delaware
Out this week. Going to the Keys. Should be in town for the following 2 weeks before heading back to Florida. My car is out of the bubble and I picked it up from Algar yesterday after some minor service. Should be good to go for the summer.
I'll be there...but the Porsche has left the stable. I never really bonded with her, so after a year of ownership we went our separate ways. Thanks to C&C's own Mark Brenner at Sky Motors, I was able to get an excellent trade on a beautiful Audi A4 Cabriolet for the wife. Hopefully I can convince her to join us! FWIW, I also bought the Testarossa from Mark and he helped me with my Mercedes R500 too. He's got a customer for life in me...whether he wants it or not! See you guys Saturday!
in a word no - well not publicly but what about a short phrase such as " the car's been Joe'd" i.e. its not longer in one's stable - sold , gone to someone who's going the change the oil, it needed a wash....
Wow, Joe has it been a whole year of ownership ? I never had the chance to take a spin, would love a ride in the TR if possible, I am sure you will be hanging on to her for a while.
I am going to TRY to get there...but no guarantees (even if the new car has more than enough speed to do it...I dont know if I will that early )
Yep. Well almost. I bought her last April. As for the Testarossa, I will definitely be holding on to her for awhile. The only bummer about her is that she has completely extinguished my desire to own another sports car, much less an exotic. Everyone has their automotive holy grail, and the single mirror testarossa along with the Countach are mine. That poor Porsche didn't stand a chance the moment that TR pulled in to the garage. It would be my pleasure to give you ride whenever you want!
Joe, I know from speaking with you that you never really bonded with the Porsche. So what are you daily driving now?
I traded the Porsche for an Audi A4 Cab for Meghan and I am recommissioning her '06 Mercedes C350 4matic The Mercedes is actually a much better fit for my use than the Porsche ever was. I originally intended to drive the Porsche every day, but it was such a major PITA taking it to the city that it quickly became another weekend car. The Merc is small enough to dart around the city with ease while still having a suspension that doesn't want to shove my spine out of my mouth.
Sorry you sold her. They come and they go but in a few months you will only remember the good memories...and probably buy another one Jon in Delaware
I don't know about that this time. The only thing I am going to remember about this car was how remarkably unmemorable it was. It's not the cars fault. It's mine. Porsche makes a truly perfect sports car. I just rather spend my free time with an ill tempered Italian temptress than Dr. Von Shlinkenberg, PHD in physics.
