From the button in the center of the ad: Engine Start Program At the time the vehicle arrived at Copart's facility, Copart verified that the vehicle (i) started, and (ii) ran at idle. There is no guarantee, representation, or warranty that the vehicle will (i) start or (ii) run at idle at the time the vehicle is picked up at Copart's facility. It is the Member's sole responsibility to ascertain, confirm, research, inspect, and/or investigate the vehicle prior to bidding on it. Once the vehicle is removed from Copart's premises, the buyer accepts the vehicle "as is". Inspect here: 7876 BELVEDERE ROAD WEST PALM BEACH, FL 33411 Phone: (561) 798-5158 Fax: (561) 798-3750
See photo below. Does the "km" indicate that the odometer reads in kilometers, not miles? Also, has it been tampered with or broken? The ad states "7,754". Assuming the far right number is tenths, Why would the number in the 10s location be turning when the 1s reflect "4", not "0" or "9" (i.e. turning over to the next multiple of 10). Just curious, I'm not a buyer. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Thanks; somebody needs to tell that to Copart and the bidders! I imagine the "ACV" is far less than "$35,500 USD"; may be 1/3 (or 1/4!) of that given the unknown mechanical issue?
This is their response... I don't plan to call; caveat emptor. FWIW, it now has a new lot #: http://www.copart.com/c2/onSaleResults.html?_eventId=getLot&execution=e1s3&lotId=23318841 I assume it was a no-sale as the previous lot.
http://www.copart.com/c2/individualLot.html?lotId=11368402&searchType=onSaleNow The odometer reading is now stated correctly (see posts above regarding "7,754")... Wow just stumbled on to this old thread. This is my car. I paid 15k for it. Had it inspected by Ray Charles inspection agency. Mechanical trouble was no clutch but since it was not registered to drive on the road Ray did not tell me about that. Overall the car was pretty nice. Fast forward almost 5 years and I have spent that much and more on repairs, upgrades and stuff to pretty it up a little. It has been a pleasure to own and drive. It is still not perfect but I bought it to wear it out. So far so good Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Two years ago I put a 3.2 in it. Not a huge difference in performance but it sure is pretty now. Image Unavailable, Please Login
It is not black paint. It is carbon fiber look vinyl. Very inexpensive and I think it looks really cool. Took everything off the back and installed then put lights ETC back on.
Good save! Thank you. I recall this car back in copart as I was looking at it then. Sounds like it's in very good hands.
There are so many things about my car that are better than factory now and others that are not perfection. I love this car because I believe that anything that goes wrong with it I will be able to fix. Belts, clutch, fuses and relays, suspension, anything. No computer, no ECU, no smog pump, No cats, Nutin!!!. Every time I fire it I feel if I died then it would take the undertaker a week to wipe the smile off my face.
