    Anyone been to the Lamborghini or Bugatti factory (to determine where this photo was taken?). That looks like Bugatti blue on the building to me.

    When do manufacturers learn that 1000hp ISN'T the answer? Too much power for a chassis to reasonably handle, the only thing it's good for is a top trumps game.

    One day some company should just fit space thrusters to a 6000hp twin engined veyron and be done with it.

    Lamborghini has been in the works of a 250mph since 2004 when they said they were going to do a Veyron powered Murcielago which never happened :( The world ended up with the LP640.

    This could be the performance boost the Aventador needs to be a serious competitor against the Veyron, SSC and Enzo Replacement.

    Well personally I do not think this car will be a Veyron competitor since both are owned by VW and its sort of like what Audi did by trying to avoid direct competition with the Gallardo with their R8. This car (if it ever gets revealed) will be fast. But not Veyron fast. But who knows, they might build a very crazy supercar to beat the Veyron. Their 50th anniversary is coming up very soon too....;)

    The Aventador does what, 217mph? Only 40mph ''slower'' than a veyron supersport. I don't think the Enzo replacement will have anything to do with ridiculous cars like the SSC and Veyron. On track the Aventador is more than a match for the Supersport (I'm not going to mention the SSC). Sure, not on a track like Monza but most other tracks it'll be just as fast, and some even faster.

    There is such a thing as too much power.

    Yup. SV should be for the track lovers among us, 100+ kg lighter. No additional power needed, more loudness is always welcome though ;)
