Concur! The Ferrari air horn is the best, and I enjoy tooting it at will. I don't know the reason Ferrari put such an ugly-sounding horn in their vehicles. My 328GTS has an air horn; and, I love the sound; hence, when I got the F430, I was expecting the same. Once I heard it, I was a bit disappointed. TAFORZA tooted his horn, and I said, "I want one!" Game over.

Thanks, Gavin for your compliments on Saphira. I will let TAFORZA address the technical details of the product. The brake dust, after TAFORZA applied the product, easily wipes or washes off. The dust doesn't adhere strongly to the surface of the rims, which makes my job of cleaning much easier, especially with the Challenge rims, which has little space for which my hands can enter to clean in the inner part of the rims.

This product is only a temporary solution for me because, in time, I know TAFORZA will need to apply the product over again. The solution for me is installing the dust-free brake pads. Apparently, TAFORZA has brake pads the shred little or no brake dust. They are on order; so, once I get them, I will let you know the results.

 

I will save one for you. Let me know when you want it to be installed.

Hi, all.

So, everything on my list, supra, is done -- except for my iPhone/iPOD cable, which should come in tomorrow, 8-July-2011.

I am so pleased with all the updates; and, the two updates that really gets me going are:

8) Install dust-free brake pads.
12) Install Audi R8-style LED lights inside the headlight chambers.

Today, 7-July-2011, I picked up Saphira from TAForza's paddock; and, I headed up to Marin to meet up Variment. When I got home from Marin, I checked Saphira's rims, and they look clean; they also grab much better than the OEM brake pads.

The grooviest thing that really grabs me is the LED lights that TAFORZA installed in the headlight chamber. I took the photos with my camera phone in my garage; hence, the photos are not all that great, but you can tell the lights are much better than the ugly yellow Ferrari factory 1.5 watt bulbs in each headlight chamber.

The LEDs come in a variety of colors: red, green, blue. I went with the standard bright whites.

Now, they don't show up all that well during the day-time, because the LEDs naturally face up toward the sky; but, in the dark and at night, they are pretty wicked -- a big improvement over the factory lights.

I will post more photos, as I get them.

Yes. This set shows slightly blue. I ordered another set that is suppose to have no blue tint, but I'm still waiting for those.

So, my new set of LED lights came in from China; and, they are 100% white. TAForza installed, and they look much better during the day and night.

Pic #1: Ferrari F430 Stock 1.5 watt bulb in the track. As you can see, the lumen is really weak, and the color is dim yellow. Shot at 1455 hours PDT: San Francisco, California: Partly cloudy. (TAForza's F430 Coupe')

Thanks, F430Addict for your input and TAForza for finding and installing the lights for me. I love them. For me, the bluish LEDs that TAForza first installed was fine with me; but, TAForza didn't think it looked good on the car, so he changed them out with the set from China.

The chrome exhaust tips make Saphira more stylish; aslo, I love the new dust-free brake pads -- they grab better than my OEM brake pads; and, they keep my rims looking clean. The picture shown is after the last Milk Run FOG executed in Yountville, CA.

In my list, I neglected to list my skid plates. I didn't get photos of the skid plates that TAForza custom cut for me, so here are the customer skid plates he created for the Scuderia 430 and 458 Italia.

Also shown, is the Cavallino Rampante that TAForza put on my petrol fuel door. This, along with my LED lights and dust-free brake pads are my favorite additions to my F-430 Spyder.

Chinese lights on your car to make it look like an Audi ? As long as you are pleased with the results.

 

My 430 had a very annoying squeak in the suspension that other shops couldn't cure. Tony at T&R advised me to grease the front anti-roll bar bushings and it worked! I am so happy the noise that plagued me so long is now gone. Thanks Tony.

 

i took my car in for a smog test - tony spent a considerable amount of time, effort and resources to ensure the car was running optimally prior to the test. the car came back washed, with a detailed engine compartment - thank you tony for your excellent service!

Troomi, if your engine bay looked like mine after Tony got through with detailing it, I know you are extremely happy with the work. Mine still looks good, after several hundreds of miles and several months after the fact.

 

After owning different Ferrari's for almost ten years, I finally found a Ferrari shop that actually cares about their customers.

I brought in my 430 for skid plates to protect the front bumper. With a same day appointment I brought my car to Tony and he advised me on some very valuable additions that I should consider. I listen to him and before I knew it, he replaced my brake pads, fixed two broken brackets, installed skid plates, perfectly aligned my front bumper, fixed it, replaced my mirrors, blacked out the tail lights and somehow disconnected that annoying buzzer sound. And all these for a very fair price and in only a few short days. Amazing. He even offered me a free loaner car and detailed my car. Every night I received an updated report via email with some pictures of his progress. How cool is this. Thank you Tony and I will service my car only with you from now on, even though I live in the East Bay and have to drive almost an hour to get to your place. It's so worth it!
