Looks like Mark will have over 100 cars this year. 15 Ferrari's signed up. http://euro-fest.net/index.php
Looking forward to this show. It was a great turnout last year. Anybody know what Ferrari of Atlanta is going to bring this year?
My car doesn't keep water out. If it isn't raining I'll probably drive up that morning to visit and back that night. Sounds like a good event.
Here is the thread from the show last year. Includes some pictures. http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/showthread.php?t=261487
So far the 10 day forecast on weather dot com looks good. I have reserved myself a spot. I'll probably be leaving from Baton Rouge at 5am on Saturday morning. Save a spot on the green for me, I'll probably arrive between 8:30 and 9am. I think they close the field at 9:30. I'm looking forward to a brisk ride up with the top down at 5am. Hoping my heater works better after my service and cleaning a few connections.
See ya'll on Friday...working on getting the M's interior respectable tonight, wish me luck. Going to be a complete PITA.
I'm driving up Sat morning; should I clean the Altima or show it with patina? Found this on the show's Facebook page; it was taken at the "Euro Fest Preview" per the poster... Image Unavailable, Please Login
Well, the interior certainly didn't get done, but I have packed in preparation of Italian cars. Floor jack Jackstands Extra coolant/water Huge bundle of zip ties Multimeter Connectors Extra wire Every hand tool imaginable Oh, and a camera to document the nearly guaranteed breakdown. Now I just have to hope it's not my car that decides to misbehave.
You should know that I always carry a AAA card as I'd never lower myself to something as mundane as changing a tire. And a can of Coke will suffice for contact cleaner if need be. Plus you're left with a good bit of delicious beverage afterwards.
Anyone planning to catch part of the game while in Ridgeland? I'll have my pre-teen son with me so can't do a sports bar but might try to find a restaurant w/TVs for a late lunch/snack.
Looking forward to seeing the 288GTO that will be there tomorrow. According to their Fbook page they will have a 288GTO, Enzo, F40, Green 250GTO PF Coupe Replica, 575, 550, 308, F430, 355, Scuderia, Testarossa, and the new 458. Nice mix of cars that will be there. Ferrari was definitely the major attraction last year. You could hardly get up to see the Enzo and F40 there were so many people around it the whole time.
What would car would that be? Would have to be pretty rare to be rarer than a 288. Was it there last year? Now I'm running through all the different cars it could be in my head trying to guess.
Looks like also a Mondial, 328 GTS, 512BBi, single mirror TR, another 328, and a 348 Series Speciale, another Mondial, 360 Spider, 308 GTSi Turbo, and a couple more 430's. All this off of the eurofest website and Fbook page. If all these cars really show up this is going to be a great show.
Had a great time and saw a few familiar faces and cars. Took the Natchez Trace home so added a couple hours to the return trip but was worth it. I'm po'd about the date stamp; really missed up some of my pics, which aren't great to begin with. I've turned it off and now know to look for the icon on the screen.
