I said that this particular Italian license plate of Florence "FI 65258" was issued in August 1953. Of course this car was built years before. 0093 S was actually completed 30th November 1950 and then delivered to A.I.C.A.R. in Milan, Italy. A.I.C.A.R. is Agenzia Internazionale Commercio Auto Ricambi which later became WI.PU.CO. Srl.. Panchetti in Caracas got 0093 S in 1954.

'58 Sebring 12 Hours Photos

Many superb photos from the 1958 Sebring 12 Hours, including the winning 250 TR (0704TR) of Peter Collins and Phil Hill.

Details fit 049S (same color) and another 166 Inter Ghia with unknown S/N better.

A little side tracking perhaps but what is the tell tale difference between a Dino 246S and a TR59? Apart from the number of inlet trumpets of course. Could it perhaps be the dashboard, which is over the complete width of the cockpit in the TR?

No Targa Florio nor 1965 for sure but an interesting pic of Pucci / Faraco on a 166 Ghia in the 1951 Giro de Sicilia (Dnf). Car could be 049S...

It is 0049 S (four digits), see photo of chassis number. The XI Giro di Sicilia was held on the 1st April 1951.

Thanks for clarifying! Is the car still in a light color?
