I have to post this to let people know- Premier Sports Cars just gave me the best car buying experience in my life. I have dreamed of buying a Ferrari for so many years, and the time was finally right. I found a car that I really liked that Premier was selling (2000 360 6-speed), but with newly born twins couldn't possibly get out there to personally look at the car (I live in NJ, 1,200 miles away). It was nerve-wracking to think of making such a major purchase from both a high dollar perspective and dream fulfilling perspective sight unseen! But with the help of the F-chat community (and the search function) I was able to find some positive comments on the saleslady (Merry Carmichael), dealership, person I had do the PPI (Scott Sweat), and shops that had done work on the car in the past couple of years.

Premier has a great reputation- they have been in business for over a decade, and tailor their business to people like me- that are buying from a distance and may not have time to see the car. They offer things like the ability to turn the car away upon arrival if it doesn't meet your expectations, a 30-day guarantee where they split the cost of repairs, etc. This coupled with Merry's straightforward answers and zero pressure helped me get a good level of comfort given the situation.

When I had the PPI done I had Scott tell me about everything wrong with the car- the car is 10 years old and it wasn't that I was going to ask for every thing to be fixed, I just wanted to know all I could without physically getting there so I knew what to expect when it rolled off the transport truck. He took pictures of a 2-3 inch scratch on the bottom side of the car by the front scoop, some scrapes and scratches on the black paint on the very bottom of the nose that wasn't visible really looking at the car standing up (someone must have pulled into a parking spot too close), a couple of small nicks in a couple of the rims (not as long as curb rash, just 1 inch or so marks), wear marks on the bottom driver's seat bolster, etc.

Merry said they were going to give the car an extensive detailing before sending the car, and they would fix that 3 inch scratch that I mentioned (I didn't mention the other items). Well, the car got here EXACTLY as described just yesterday...and the level of detailing was impressive (inside rims cleaned, brake calipers spotless, etc and the 2-3 inch scratch was fixed. I started poking around...the rims were fixed....the bottom scrapes on the black paint were gone- the whole black part re-painted...the bolster was re-dyed!!!!!!!! Not only did I not ask for these things to be fixed, Merry never mentioned that they found some other things they would take care of...she and the dealer did these things and didn't let me know they fixed things to "take credit" for it! And it wasn't that they were trying to fix things because they represented the car as in excellent condition, because when I first inquired about the car's condition Merry mentioned the seat wear and didn't say they were going to fix it.

I simply was floored at the car buying experience and would buy from them again in a second (if I had any more money left-ha!) In today's day and age, it is quite difficult to find this level of service. I’d be doing a disservice to F-chat by not relaying this information as someone else contemplating a purchase from them today or 3 years from now will likely do a search and find this posting. It is nice to be able to post a compliment like this!

I guess bankers are the only ones left who can afford an Fcar. Figures! :D

Anyway, congrats. Those guys (MCI) carry some nice inventory.

MCI is different from Premier (yes, there are two exotic car dealers in Springfield, MO!)

Premier has been around forever but I've never heard anything about them, good or bad. Glad to finally hear some feedback!

    congrats on the car!! :D

I don't work at Goldman Sachs-ha! Between the price drop in the recession, the gap between the proceeds from the sale of my 911 and this car isn't that bad considering (1) I'll drive my daily driver for another 10 years (I take mass transit), and (2) this is a life-long dream of mine and it has been fufilled!

Yes- I posted them in the 360 section (I didn't want to post the pics in this thread since I wanted to focus on the dealer...)
