F1 Accumulator

Does anyone know about the accumlator used on the 355 F1 transmission? What size is it? I know that some hydraulic accumlators have a bellows spring inside to maintain the pressure and some have a bladder with nitrogen gas to maintain the pressure.

What kind does the 355 use?

Thanks,

Enzo

James:

I am really asking about the accumulator. Most hydraulic systems have an accumulator so that the pump doesn't have to run all the time. I read somewhere else on this forum that the 355 has an accumulator. I want to know more about the design.

Thanks,

Enzo

I think the accumulator is the bulb-shaped thing adjacent to the F1 pump in the left rear corner of the engine bay. Didn't know there were different sizes of them, though. Maybe one of the pros could give an answer to the size question.
