    Hello....

Does anybody have an idea why there kit will only fit 77-84 308 cars and not the early 74-76 GT4 cars. I was under the impression that the braking systems were identical. I actually called Brembo and they were not sure either. They suggested that it may be because of different brake lines or sterering knuckle.

Has anyone installed the kit and had it work no problem?

    Thanks.......

Call the Eric or his partner at FChat sponsor www.************ -- he used to work for Brembo as an engineer and actually designed the kit that Brembo sells. He now makes a competitive kit through Girodisc, but he can probably answer your question.

I actually have called and Martin at Girodisc has never installed the kit on an 308 gt4. I actually purchased the rear kit from them and it fits perfectly. My concern is that I am being told by many people that the front kit will not work but nobody has been able to tell me why exactly.

    Thanks.....

I actually want to install the Girodisc setup....i asked about the brembo kit only because I figured there would be more people out there who have information on that kit..

I seem to have received a good answer on this question. The only difference in the 308gt4 brakes and the later 308 brakes is the length of the brake lines.

Hope this helps other 308 gt4 owners....

From my info, even the brake lines are identical, I stock steel braided lines that fit all models, and have fitted enought sets to verify that this is the case!!

GT4's have little scoops on the brake backing plates, that sort of line up with a brake duct fitted into the wheel arch.

These are a good retro fit on 308's too, although I think removing the whole backing plate entirely helps cooling more.

QV London do a kit for GT4s using a modified 355 setup I believe.
