    Nice shoes!

Seems you weren't content with the old ones. So...

Compared to before, how do you "feel" when you look at your Ferrari now?

The main thing I notice with the extra rubber (8' front and 10.5' rear) plus I have the 15mm spacers on back is that the car seems a lot more stable. For example when you would approach a high rate of speed in the past she was very sensitive to variations in the road surface. The car feels much more stable. Ride height is in 348 GTC specifications. A visual observation - the car looks more aggressive.

SLAG and I are the only cars that I know of that have the GTC wheels. I have lots of pics of other cars with them on but no owners that I know of on Fchat.

Those look SOOO good! At first I thought those might have been the wheels that Highline Wheels are selling, because they look so familiar. I had to count the bolts between each spoke to come to the realization that they were not. One of the best looking wheels I have seen on a 348...Between you, Husker with his 355 wheels, and Kenyon with his killer Kahn wheels....Im getting the "wheel bug"...thats it...I'm getting wheels too!!

    Very nice!

The GTC was my 1st choice as well but it was not available at the time so I purchased the Challenge wheels instead.

    Good choice & enjoy!!

Can you please tell me what size rims those are and what size tires are fitted to them, front and rear?

Wait, I think I just answered my own questions by looking at my Technical Manual CD.

    front: 225/40ZR 18
    rear: 265/40ZR 18

    Correct?

Wow, that thing must handle much better with bigger shoes. Can you notice the difference?

Extremely nice - I am all for 18's on the 348 as they really update the car and these have got to be one of the best choices.

    Looks magnificent.

    Cheers

Looks great. Huge improvement over the 348 wheels...I always thought the originals looked bad...reminded me of a Hotwheels car. Your new wheels look perfect on it.

Personally those wheels look ugly. But to each his own. To my knowledge there is no comp wheel other than the 348/355 comp speedline. GTC implys a race wheel. There is not 348GTC. Micholotto made just a couple 348 race cars not challenge cars. Those were nver called GTC and had center lock wheels not the 5 bolts. So I have no idea what the GTC wheel is other than a name. Can you fill me in on what this is other than a aftermarket wheel called GTC? Also, real 348 racecars ran pretty wide wheels/tires i the 245-330 range that means up to 13" wheel. What are the measurements of the GTC. If they are challenge width they are not very racey. Even the challenge wheel is not very racy and too heavy even in magnesium.

Then SLAG found a set on eBay and we emailed about them - I wanted them but had just got the 348 and they were an item too far at that time.

So I was very happy to find another set this year!

The wheels are actually the TR versions.

    The 348GTC wheels are 8J x 18 and 10J x 18 = 225/40 ZR 18 and 265/40 ZR 18

    The TR wheels are 8J x 18 and 10.5J x 18 = 235/40 ZR 18 and 295/35 ZR 18

I got the 15MM spacers and bolts from H&R http://www.ecstuning.com/HR/appguides/app_search.cgi?make=Ferrari&qt=spacers&model=348+GTB%2FS&submit=Search%21

SLAG and I are the only cars I know of in NA with the wheels - anyone else have them in the USA? Please post pics if you do.

Fat Billy - first let me defer to your deep knowledge of the 348 series and wheels. My information may be wrong.

I take the name GTC for the wheels from the book “Original Ferrari V8” where I learned about the 50 – "348 GT Compitizione" cars that were produced. The had numbered steering wheels and the wheels as seen in the pic of the red car I posted in the thread.

The part numbers for the wheels I have from Ferrari is: front wheels: 149552 rear wheels: 160563

Wow, nice wheels Andy. Saw the GTC in the same book & another publication from Japan. I've emailed them before when Slag bought them for his TR but they said it wouldn't fit our 348. So, is it mandatory to fit a spacer or can we just fit all 4 wheels on? Do you mind sharing how much it costs or you can PM me. Thanks!
    Jon
