What a great week! Looking to maximize my every drive, I've given up on my Porsche 911 as my daily driver and replaced it with a 1999 550!! Hot damn what a car! (yea, yea, too many explanation points...)

I bought 4pipes's 1999 550 with 25k miles. I wanted a 550 with all the bugs out and all the updates in. 4pipes was the original owner and spared no expense in maintenance (all receipts and records). It was maintained by a board member and came highly recommended. The passed PPI sealed the deal.

After I picked it up, Debbie and I proceeded to put 1200 miles on it traveling around CA before bringing it home to Bellevue. It was no garage queen for 4pipes, and it won't be for me.

Compared to my 360 Spider, the 550 has awesome torque. It's also very comfortable, reasonable quiet (even with the Tubi blaring out the back), roomy, and drinks gas like I drink diet soda. :)

It's a heavy car so it doesn't "lurch" like the 360 does went I get on it. Instead, it has this wonderful "oomph" that propels the car incredibly quickly up to, well, the local speed limit. cough cough... Whereas the 360 has somewhat nervous handling, the 550 rides like it's on rails.

Since it has 25k miles, it has a few rock chips here and there, but I'll get those taken care of in due time. However, I don't need it perfect because it's my daily driver and I don't want to be afraid of driving the thing.

I'm obviously keeping my 360 Spider for weekend fun. :)

Glad it got a good home. Enjoy it, David always did. Don't forget to update your profile, you don't want people to think you only have one Ferrari.

Very nice indeed. If you add a 456M in Rosso, you would be like Frankie...;-)
