Moved in three months ago and with lots of building work still ongoing/boxes of stuff everywhere, finally one room is complete..the garage!!! (A man has to have his priorities)

Jo - the original plan was to get your chaps in to give me a shiny floor special, but sadly discovering the house needed rewiring apparently was a more important use of the cash - so I did a DIY job, but really am chuffed to bits with the result. An immense amount of effort went in to this - anyone who has ever painted bricks will understand.

Hopefully you chaps will consider me yes, a self admitted saddo, but not as much of a saddo as most of my friends think I am (even though they have made all the right noises I know they all think I am barking!)

    Here are some pics.

These guys - a lady called Pippa was very helpful. Very easy to lay (like a huge jigsaw puzzle for 2 year olds) - just need a mallet and a jigsaw for cutting round corners. they were about £2.50ish a tile I think - total cost to of the floor was about £450ish, paint was £50ish and various ebay purchased flags/blown up photos in frames/ikea red stools for me to be even sadder and sit on to admire (not done yet) (£3 each!), etc came to probably £100, so overall went from cobwebby revolting place to what you see above with about 600 squids and a lot of hard graft.
