Bob and Bruce, great job on planning the first half of the drive especially the long straight over the bridge. I was finally really able to open the 360 up with a Viper nipping at my heels. I am not a real F1 fan so I didn't stay for the race but really enjoyed putting some faces to names on the board. BTW that Enzo was pretty impressive. I forgot my camera but one of my friends took a bunch of pics and as soon as I get them I will post.

    Phong -

Wish you'd stayed for the rest of the race! Are you coming down to the Pinehurst event in November? That should be another great drive/social event and a nice venue to end the hard-core driving season. Drop me a PM anytime you're interested in a drive. There are plenty of nice roads both in your neck of the woods and out here in the Piedmont. If you haven't done the NC8/89 route toward Hanging Rock (with a detour along Flat Shoals Road), you're missing some great pavement.

I'm waiting for Bob or Steve (Jones) to post some pictures of the Sunday event. Mine turned out pretty lame.

KUDOS to Audio Advice and Bob Snow!! We're lucky to live in NC and have such a great devoted group of owners.

(CAFE folks, you're missing some good stuff. Give FCA a try -- just for one year, and I think you'll find it well worthwhile)

Unfortunately I will not be able to make that event. I am scheduled to work that weekend.

Heh... the driver that COULD HAVE been driving a red 355 lol... but alas, it might be too late. We have found a potential buyer. Head on over to SportAuto to check out the car lol! Do it soon! A beautiful 355 is just nearby... don't let the opportunity slip through your hands... ;)

You're not kidding. Following the Enzo is hazardous because of everybody swerving to get a closer look. You and I were basically invisible, I'm afraid. All that talk of "better" routes back to GSO, and we still ended up on 85/40.
What gives with all the rednecks cutting us off in their NASCAR tuned pick-em-up trucks? At least we made good time.

I was so ashamed of my car's dirty engine compartment (in comparison to the other cars this weekend) that I came home early today and detailed the whole dang thing. I also prompty called Dave Soderquist and ordered a new rear emblem to replace my gritty 348ts badge. It won't win any awards at Pebble, but it sure is fun to make a black car shine.

    Best Regards,
    Daniel

Is that Enzo not registered? Why does he drive it without a tag? I guess if you can afford one, you might not care what the state has to say if it was ever questioned. BTW nice pics.

The Enzo is registered...it's driven on a dealer plate kept under the seat...he runs the FCI plate as a form of advertisement I guess

No...the car is owned by a gentlemen who also has a dealers license and thus drives it on the dealer plate for insurance/tax purposes.

He only bought the car from FCI, and thus in support of them supporting the FCA he uses the FCI tag on the rear.
