Hey lung, can you post some more pictures of the Enzo as well as other Ferrari models like the 360, 550 and 575M. Enjoy your time there!
Lung, great photos. I thought the track day was a great idea ( marketing?) fron Hong Seh, now I am itching to get a 355 or 360. I enjoyed it but it did get a bit hairy now and then (close shaves.....you heard what happened?). BTW I will be posting some shots I took this weekend
Close shaves? No didn't hear... what happened to u? I know what happened to 3 Maseratis and a 360. I actually got the photos but "chi tong" a bit and not show the cars.
What happened to the Maseratis and the 360? What do you mean by "close shaves"? Did something untoward happen to these cars?
Wish I could be there.... Thanks for the photos! Hey Lung, Do they change tyres, brakes etc. on the spot? How do they charge? If our car can't be driven back is there back-up/tow/insurance covered (track use, maybe not huh?) I mean, what happens when you or someone drive into each other. Imagine the repair bills! Thanks!
The first thing happened even before we got to the track on Saturday. It was really an unfortunate incident really. It was on the main road just before turning into the road into Sepang paddocks. First Maser stopped , waiting for the traffic from opposite side to clear, the second stopped on time but guess the general story was the last car ( I think its the 360 could not stop in time) "WACKED" right to the third car , the third into the second and so on..................you get the picture?Did not see the extend of the damages except the first Maser.......not too bad just damage to the boot and bumper. My heart aches for the owner though.Poor guy all the way to Sepang-no action and a big bill to swallow. It was one helluva experience, I tell you. the track day was quite well put together besides the usual delays when you have a bunch of cars traveling together. I could have sworn that it was a scence out of "fast & Furious"movie when you see a "Sea" of red and yellow F cars taking off from the toll booth. On the track , a couple of cars "spun", some managed to stay on but a few got off and got really lodged in the gravel(no details, lets keep identity quiet), in fact one "red One" spun right in front of me on turn 14, **** it was hairy, I really had to avoid man................... Everybody was a F1 driver...for a day.......................... Whatever it is let me tell you guys, I appreciate the Hong Seh/Next Car support team....first class. My car stalled after laps on Thursday's classes ( which I absolutely screwed up and embrassed myself) and refused to start. I had to leave the car for them to tow back to the shop but next morning at breakfast the rang to ask me about the car and wah-Lah they called again at lunch and told me the car was done. Air-Flow problem, probably some ECU ****! I spent a good part of the track day fooling around with air tire pressure before getting it right. My Suspension ECU just arrived today (damn!, too late) so getting it installed tomorrow. Should stiffen up the ride a bit more......reduce the roll, probably better.
I will post the photo when I get back to KL. Left it behind. Masers involved were dark blue and metalic gold. Yup, Hong Seh usually does a good job. I been on these track days since 1998 when the track opened...I have to say Hong Seh is pretty generous. Track support is great. Some cars do make arrangements before arriving to have "slicks" put on. If u see 2 of my photos the mechanics were changing No 39's tires for track use. I never miss these track days...they are one of the highlights in driving the marque.
Yellow Maser was wrecked on the way up on North South highway. Left Singapore late and was trying to catch up with the convoy when he ran into another car quite badly. The two 3200's that bumped into each other were dark blue and silver 3200's. Red 360 was the last one. Pretty bad luck, usually these trips are incident free!
Besides Lung, any of you guys were there? At least that would allow me to out a face to your handles.
I thot the yellow maserati hit the barriers and not another car...hmmmm. Moral of the the story...don't drive fast in the rain.
The pictures of the tangerine orange diablo are attached below. They are taken from the Autobahn's website. www.autobahn.com.sg
Lung, can you post some pictures of the trip to KL for us to view? Just to have a vote here, which of the following cars you would like to own most: 1. Ferrari 360 2. Bentley Continental GT 3. Porsche Cayenne Turbo 4. Maserati Quattroporte 5. Ferrari 550 Maranello Also, please give your reasons as to what made you to choose that particular car. You can also include cars that are not mentioned above. Fred
Saw this Maserati a few days ago... and regarding about this Black 360 modena, saw it again recently same car plate and now the modena is in silver colour... Wierd...
Thanks for asking. The car is superb since it changed hands and till now, there are no major problems with the car! However, I am also worried that the mileage would affect the car's value just like magicman. But lung, have you heard of a "conking" sound when you start the car in the morning when it is cool, when it is warming up? I always hear that sound when the car is warming up. What about you, magicman? Have you encountered such problems?
