Here's an email i got this am... spoof or real??
    --------------------------------------------------------------------------

A guy in St. Louis was driving to work when he heard a
'pop'. He thought it sounded like a flat tire, though his ride wasn't affected.
After pulling over, checking the tires and finding them intact he open the hood to look at the motor. Before the hood was even all the way open he jumped back in shock and knocked his head on the partially opened hood, unable to believe what his eyes were seeing! Nobody was going to believe this!....you sure wouldn't have either! Fortunately, a co-worker with a camera recognized him along side the road and stopped to see if he could help. Check out the attachment jpg files to witness for yourself the source of his amazement. ......Now, this has to be right up there at the top of the list of unusual but verified 'Reasons I was late for work'!!!!

The poor snake was looking for rice and appears to have hit pay dirt with the V-TEC.

I'd bet it's actually a case of the snake (like a cat) finding a nice warm, dark place on a recently shut-off car and then getting injured on the restart (or shortly after restart in this case) -- too deeply intertwined around the exhaust manifold and power steering pump to be picked up from the roadway IMO...

Surprised to see that big of a snake in Mizzourah. It gets cold there just like here in Kneebraski. I assume it hibernates, I just didn't realize they had mamba size vipers.

    Looks real to me.

I could see a snake thinking a warm engine bay is a good place to hang.

Not a viper at all, but a boa....and you are correct. Not native, most likely an escaped pet....

Somewhere a baby rabbit is smiling........

I've seen escaped ones here crossing the road into grasslands over 22' long.....I didn't want to try to drive over it so I stopped and let it go by....

Sorry for the snake, but the owner of the car can now proudly say:

"my stock RSX just ate up a Viper from stand still. Honest! I even pulled on him, maybe by couple of pully lengths...."

    (that was a tad predictable....)
