Guys, Come on. You should be well aware by now that this car has been in an accident. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Carbon-Brakes-Shields-Challenge-Wheels-WE-FINANCE-/270808950813?pt=US_Cars_Trucks&hash=item3f0d78a81d Now on ebay, listing accidents as "none" I have to be honest, this undermines my confidence a little in working with an Authorized Ferrari dealer. They were very friendly and helpful when I called about, and eventually put down a deposit on this 430. And I truly don't think the salesman knew that it had been involved in an accident. But a little digging (thanks to Carbon) turns up 2 other F-chatters that have looked at this car, and at least one did a PPI (that showed the damage) http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/showthread.php?t=335559 Here we are almost 3 weeks later, listed for sale to the next unsuspecting customer on Ebay as accident free, and touting a clean Carfax. My advice FOS, admit what happened to the car (if you don't know exactly, at least admit what the PPI's have revealed) price the car accordingly, perhaps take a loss on it and move on. It's really not worth your credibility.
+1 AGREED! Dealer needs to reprice the car lower and let it known about the history. Irritating an authorized Ferrari dealer is being dishonest about this car. I was another fchatter that looked at this car months ago and moved on after realizing the history of the car. Ferrari of Scottsdale should just be honest, kills their credibility on Fchat. I surely wont buy I car from them knowing this...by the way the car has been 4 sale 4 EVER!!!!!
I think the price is a bit high even if it was in fact a no accident car. I think it needs to be at 115-125K with properly disclosed accident. Disclosure: I will buy a car with a history, as long as it is presented and priced as such. I will also date women that other people have previously dated. Lets just say I am in to recycling.

Agreed and yes SHAME On FOS but what the hell is wrong with CARFAX. Someone should call CARFAX and REPORT fraud THis would clear the issue and put the car into the category it belongs .
Threads like this are pretty pointless without the VIN since the ebay link won't work in a few weeks and no one will ever be able to find it by searching the VIN. ZFFEW58A360146563
this car is originally for sale from florida and move to Mercedes Benz of Chandler and I think they wholesale it again to FOS. is very dishonest how the dealership dont mention anything about the accident history. yes the car might have a clean carfax but they should be honest about the accident issue. I was looking at this option car before, the cleanest one I seen in the one that sold from Motorcars International and sold to Street King.
In 2007 I bought a 360 from them sight unseen. First question I asked was, has this car been in an accident. They said NO and also said its the cleanest 360 they have seen in ages. I figured since they are a Ferrari dealer, I could trust them. They sent me the car dirty and with zero gas. I drove it for a while then about a year later I ran in to an old friend of mine. He saw the car and he was in shock. He said, hey I think this used to be my old car. But my car was in a MAJOR accident. I told him, No way it cant be. We live in Northern California and this car came from Az. He said I bet you anything its my old car. I said again, Michael, It cant be. I bought it from a Ferrari dealer and they said NO accidents ever. He said, Listen, I still have a spare key in my house. Let me go get it and see if it starts the car..... Surely enough it started the car right up.... I was in absolute shock at this point. He even pointed out where the car was t-boned and how the drivers door doesn't close perfectly. 1/8 gap. I called scottsdale F and explained to them what had happened. At first they denied it. Then I had my lawyer call them, then they offered a few thousand dollars credit back to us... Finally I had to put the squeeze on them and got more money out of them. I think they are not to be trusted. I will not recommend them to anyone not even my enemy. I paid top $ for that car and would not had purchased it if I knew the history. Plus, they are professionals. How can they not look at the car and not be able to tell if the car was hit or not. Good luck
I have contacted Ferrari with the information. No bone in this fight other than I am a concerned consumer who has looked into cars from this dealer before.
I'm curious to know what updates, if any, come out of this whole situation. Give us an update if you get one!
Guys, those of you compaining to Ferrari about Scottsdale might consider that a company like that probably has no qualms about filing suit against you and ferrarichat. Just sayin'. If it didn't happen to you personally, I'd be really damned careful.
I am not saying that the whole industry is dishonest but it is funny when you point out these issues becasue there are more out there than you think. I have found that you just can not trust anyone but yourself and doing a proper history search and PPI to uncover the lies. I was burned once hard trusting a seller and it will not happen again. I looked at a 360 here in NC made a reasonable offer to the leasing company becasue it needed 7k worth of service. Told me no and sold it for 4k more to another dealer in Florida who has it on flea bay for 80k and the heading is Garage Queen, pristine? I contacted them and asked about the issues on the car and they said, well it will be taken care of, are still interested. NO bottom line do your homework!
Well said PATLEW. What kills me are the consumers who buy sight unseen. I purchased a Viper GTS back in 2003 sight unseen with 2600 miles and will NEVER do that again. I'm thinking 2600 miles.... the car must be as new, well I was scammed. The Viper GTS had a driver door respray, and quarter panel blend and the repair was not done very well with gaps in the door and orange peel on the paint surface that looked awful. I argued but they denied and acted as if they did not know, I hate shady car dealers. Point is GO SEE the car. Many on Fchat search and read posts for months and dont spend the time or money to hop on a plane and go see the car if the car is out of state. Educate yourselfs and learn to look for paint correction and signs of serious damage. Run fingers down the edges of the doors, hood, for overspray etc...Carfax does not reveal anything half the time. Look for obvious signs of repair with your own eyes. Never trust a dealer as they are in business to make $. Since my Viper GTS I have never purchased another car sight unseen and I have been very happy with my cars since I inspected them myself visually and always get a PPI no matter what brand of make the car is... My last purchase was a 2008 F430 with 3575 miles (2 owner car) from Algar a few months ago. Though the guys are straight up at Algar I did my homework anyhow. It was a great car for me. I drove 4 hours to SEE the car, Did a PPI, 101 inspection for power cube warranty, got all the available records and looked over the car for hours before I pulled the trigger, I am happy with my decison and I love my car. Back to the car at Ferrari of Scottsdale. I think every car deserves a owner. This is a nicely optioned car and will sell eventually. I just think the car should be represented honestly and dropped $20,000-$25,000 considering the history. This way a buyer will be aware and maybe it wont bother them knowing they paid a fair number on the car. -Ryan
