    Dear Ferraristi,

.....go easy on the purple paint. To block your tag, you got it all over the rear bumper. :D

.....I notice 512 TR intake manifolds.....maybe a 512 TR engine swap lurking underneath?

....no no, it's the cylon ( Battlestar Galactica) third brake light. :D

You must be ecstatic having the greatest f car ever made back in the crib! Of course the see through cover is obvious but I was thinking it is the high beam tail light across the back, is that like the kit car led that runs back and forth! Personally, I do not like the 3rd brake light on the TR and glad mine does not have one. Regardless, congrats on getting her back and enjoy! She looks great!

Shamile, I knew I could count on you. Sorry about the overspray. No, it's not a 512TR engine swap. It's a complete change in the injection system and ignition. I went with a Motec system and while I was at it I changed to the 512TR intakes (better flow). The engine now sings like it never did before. I am now open to a number of things that I can do with engine, plus with the Motec software the system is incrediably easy to trouble shoot. James at Norwoods did the work and did a great job. At first I thought I wanted to do it myself and I am really happy I chose not to.

No, it's just a regular light. This was a carbon fiber piece I bought at Norwoods. I had it painted to match the car since I just don't think carbon fiber looks good in this place. I think they thought I was nuts getting it painted, but I like it much better this way.

Thanks. Now for the real fun, driving it. :) I just realize you were the one who got the yellow 512tr from Houston. I looked at that car long before you bought it. I wanted it, but because they were selling it on consignment they wouldn't consider lowering the price. I really like it alot, but not at the price they originally had it. Have fun with yours.

    John,

I was looking at that same piece at Norwood's and thought it look good, but now seeing it on your car, it looks fantastic! I agree, I think I would also paint it red.

Thanks. It just wasn't right (IMO) being carbon fiber.

Yes I bought the yellow 512 after they shipped it up to their sister store in MO. They were much more willing to deal after it sat for over a year with no takers at 135K! I love the car and am very happy! I am sure you are too!

Very interesting ( read jaw dropping ) setup.

Just wondering, where do the fresh air intakes go. I read something about a "low pressure" area on the rear deck that actually forces air into the engine on the Testarossa. That's why I've heard it's not wise to add ram effects. (snorkels etc. )

    Were any dyno numbers provided?

Ahh that is the question. The fresh air intakes go down to the bottom back of the fenders. Yes there are before and after dyno numbers. I will hunt down where they are (I had a computer crash a few weeks ago that took a lot of data) and post once I find. I am very please with the outcome. This was a true seat of the pants increase and it also added the ability to do further mods in the future. The other thing I like is how clean the setup was. I am very pleased that it exposed the engine so prominent. Sorry for not having more pictures, but I've been to busy driving it.
