I think their definiition of "hermetically sealed" and mine are two different things!

Rust and oxydation of rubber and leather are still the issue. You can't tell anything without looking them over. Most likely they'll need a lot of restoration but at least all the parts seem there.

I restored my Dino with worse and it took two years. You have to take a risk as the motor is unlikely running. Brakes calipers will be frozen and all hydraulics probably gone. The clutch and clutch cable may be seized. The electric fans probably are shot as is the radiator.

Like any project, it's fixable. But, if you think your going to put a new battery in it, fill it with fresh gas and it's going to run, I think you're very much mistaken.

Kinda stingy on the photos, don't you think? 4 photos for 2 cars? Makes me wonder.

An advert for 2 cars, Dino and Bora.
Something not right; a rear view of the Daytona, inside photo of the Maserati and a Maserati wheel (???????). Why the pic of the Daytona if it's not for sale?

Looks like a scam to me; but I could be wrong.

The first picture you see is actually the trunk of the Daytona. You can even see the 3 and 6 of "365 GTB" on the cover of the manual.

Was contacted about these cars a couple of months ago. Let's just say their pricing was a bit overly optimistic.

Weird photos.... we have a partial view of a tire, a trunk, 2 cars covered in
dust at a great distance, and an odometer.

Why wouldn't the seller bother to TAKE BETTER PHOTOS? How can anyone bid
on this without seeing the MOTORS at least? Or the interiors overall?

Oh, and "hermetically sealed" - right! Guy doesn't even know what those words mean....

    :)

I've been thru Weed, CA (at about 95MPH).......

I'm sure our historians in Vintage can recall who would have owned these three cars.

They need to get them back to the shop and maybe drop by a Quarter Car Wash on the way....

    I'll go $200K, for all three......LOL!

Gotta leave some 'wiggle room' for the Tune Up!!!!

The trunk shot is the Daytona, the interior is the Maser and the auction is for "The Dino WAAAY back in the corner!"

That ad is very random...I've never seen a "hermetically sealed" area with so much dust!

Contrary to the opinion of others, I believe that the garage is hermetically sealed....the dust can't get out.

The seller is Terry Price of Legendary in Gazelle, CA not Weed, CA.
I have previous experience on a Ferrari deal which I do not want to put in print here, feel free to contact me offline for details.

BTW, I owned Euro versioned 1972 Bora #158 for 19+ years and it was a great car, actually much better than the Dino for long trips with spaciousness and comfort. If the hydraulic system sits in a Barn for ages, there is going to be some serious refurbishment needed before the high pressure braking system is trustworthy. Also, the USA bumpers on the model shown are the least desirable of the whole Bora series.

sure not a very clear ad, even for an ebay ad ....for that kind of money and that kind of car, some clarification would be needed 'big time' before any smart money got put out there IMO
i can only imagine the cost of bringing one of those cars back to road worthy condition $$$
