    My 355 has developed a cooling fault (fans not cutting in - overheating imminent!). Need to get it to a good Ferrari garage in the Manc area asap for some attention (independent is fine) - have you got any recommendations?

    I'm guessing you don't want to go to a franchise dealer.... but, if you did, Stratstone of Manchester (on Upper Brook Street, near the Uni) would have been the obvious choice.

    RD Automotive in Eccles comes recommended, they've worked on my 355 a few times.

    iR&D IN ECCLES ARE PRETTY GOOD AND BOTH Both Nick and Nigel {co owners} are very easy going and they speciallise in Ferrari.
    Anotherone to try is Autoshield in Chorlton 0161 881 3463 and speak to Marios he specialises in Maserati and does Ferraris
    good luck!

    As a guideline, this is a safe assumption with any work done on a 355...

    Thanks all - called R&D - they were very helpful on the phone. Am going to take the 355 over to R&D on Tues next week. Stratstone couldn't fit me in till the 3rd week in August and wanted to charge £110/hr + VAT just to diagnose the problem!!! Not exactly friendly, efficient or cost effective customer service!

    R&D did me a cambelt change and service for about £800. I know the Mondial QV is relatively cheap to service etc, but Stratstone could not even be bothered to call me back with a price. I can imagine the service manager... "Mondials Phmmmph" :D

    whatever you do, don't use Autosheild in Chorlton. in my experience they are a dishonest,cheating and Incompetent bunch of s!!ts. no offence intended.

    As a guideline, this is a safe assumption with any work done on a Ferrari... Wild horses - even prancing ones - wouldn't take me to a franchised dealer. Not in your area but Verdi and Bob Houghton get my vote.
