For those of you with knock off wheels on your TRs

Here are my new wheels made by Kinesis
I am very happy with them and I think they look great

    Very nice!

I do really like the look it gives the TR. I just went to 18-inch wheels on my TR, too (5-bolt), thanks to the pics that have been posted.

They look very nice, but for some reason, your car looks higher than most. Is this an optical illusion or is it really higher? As a point of reference, my front spoiler is 6" off the ground.

Also (hopefully you don't mind my asking), how much are those rims?

    pretty sure optical illusion.
i think it is because I still have the bottom black, on top of the shadowing. Also the road nearest the curb has a curve to it ( rain drainage) which may make the right side look way high off the ground

don't ask me? must be an italian thing

THe ride is definitely much better. I am very pleased with them

I can't speak for the wheels/tires in the photo, but I can say that my TR with 18" wheels and Pilot Sports sits at about an inch and a quarter higher than with the stock wheels/tires.

That car is definitly higher. And the wheels no longer follow the wheel well lines. It may be angle, but it sure looks strange. Is there a reason you put larger rims than the correct specification?

Any of you detectives out there wonder if the resizing has something to do with it?

I look at the original pic and it looks great. I then look at the Fchat pic and the whole car looks stumpy, not just the wheel wells. Sort of like a car-tunes picture but not as drastic

I am trying to post the original but it is too big.

Anyway back to the original post - the 18" is great and I had to do because no longer tires available for the car.
Sure you can get the cheapo brands but MIchelin has stopped the Pilots in 16". Pirelli - nothing. Bridgestone - again nothing

Nice look, cleans up the car without looking out of place. Kinesis are great rims!

How far off the ground is the front lip of the chin spoiler at the front left corner? Mine is 6" - yours looks more like 8"

    6 3/4 inches or 169mm ( in Canada )
    40 PSI in tires

Just checked against another TR with standard rims. His is exact the same with the front spoiler 7" of the ground

I am telling you it is the resizing thing
