Last night my friend and I changed the stock grills to the challenge style grills the change is very noticeable that for sure and I completely made the right decision. Here is how you do it.

1 take off the front wheels.

2 remove the gaurds useing screw gun

3 open trunk and remove black cups under these cups are bolts un screw all four bolts

4 go under front of car and remove the screws holding the bumper to the floor gaurd.

5 remove 2 bolts in front of wheel well in back of bumper.

    6 pull bumper off

    7 unscrew old grills

    8 screw in new grills

    9 put bumper back on

10 put all screws and bolts back in

11 put back on front wheels

    12 look at it

13 get in your car and drive off with a big smile.

Installation took not even a hour.

ABSOULTELY AMAZING......thank you so much for doing such an awesome job documenting & photographing this proceedure. While the actual job will only last but a couple hours, the memory of having done it myself will last a life-time!!!! :)

Very nice write-up with step by step pictures.

I noticed in the last picture that there is a gap between the wire grill and the ducting behind the bumper. Did you also install the spacers that go with the Challenge grills?

Yes, isn't there supposed to be a duct behind the mesh - as deep as the stock grille?

This was a great tool in helping me put in my grills - took less than 2 hours!

One additional thing to remember is to disconnect the marker lights before trying to remove the bumper from the car.

I saw them beforehand but good to add to the list of "to-do's" above.

Hey guys I'm about to install a set of challenge grills as mine are aftermarket. Is it essential to have the Challenge grill frame to install these?

I'll be putting these in when I do the stradale insert upgrade and would like to have this handled.

    Thanks for your input.

It's not essential but it will look odd as there will be a gap directly behind the grill. Prosport do pattern frames which are a fraction of the OEM price.

I need to do this so thanks for the helpful photos. Does anyone know when you unplug the side marker lights? Can you get to them before removing the bumper or do you need a helper to unplug them while you hold the bumper away from the car?
    Thanks

Pretty sure these are them and as such can be disconnected once you have the wheel arch liner removed.......
