    Last week, the Court of Modena has officially and unequivocally established that the only true Ferrari 330 P vin # 0818 is the one of Maranello Rosso Collection.

    In 2008, after two years spent in examining the car of Maranello Rosso and the relative documentation submitted by the technical consultants of both parties (Hofer never set available his car), the court's expert (Orsi) had decreed that the original car was the one
    owned by Maranello Rosso Collection.

    The Orsi's expertise is secret, due to an explicit request of Ferrari justified by the fact that contains too many manufacturing secrets, very helpful for the forgers...
    The judge, accepting this argument, made the Orsi's expertise as "top secret".

    Now, as a result of this judgment, the Egon Hofer's # 818, must be officially considered a fake.

    Let's see now what will happen...

    This sounds like a messy situation. I'm sure this is not the last we will hear of this. If the Hofer car ever sets foot in Italy, would it be destroyed?

    Looks like since Protheroes's son is saying in conjunction with his step mom that the chassis was sold to Hofer then it would seem that all that is in fact BS.

    If that's how Italian courts are going to rule I'm buying old engines and building anything worth anything around them and having the Italian courts rule that its an original....
