Then he should take it. There are so many things wrong with that car it is hard to know where to begin.

Oh, I see... I actually did see that ad, but to be honest, I thought it was for a book! I guess the current bid price should've been a clue. Not a very good auction "thumbnail," nonetheless...

I did find on Barchetta.cc that there was a black GT4 that was once owned by Elvis Presley, but I don't think this is the same car.

 

Elvis' 308 GT4 is still at Graceland in the car museum

 

Those wheels on that car seem to belong to some Maserati (model escapes me presently).

 

I believe they were an option on the 246 Dino. Gorgeous Campagnolo wheels and look perfect on a 246. Check out this link to Mike Sheehans website.

I do not know that car, the eBay description is by a young person on behalf of "grandpa"....sad the book is the first pic....

Reads as he is the original owner, low miles, engine "don't know",......turbo reference is also unfortunate but the phone number is righ there to call....

I was driving my gt4 downtown Memphis when somebody in his 50's drove by and said, "I raced Elvis in one of those..."

Yeah, Elvis' GT4 had the Knock off wire rims. Looks fantastic!

 

A black 308GT4 for $45K??? The car would be worth about half of that, I would say around $24.5k. I love that emotional aspect about Ferraris though. Every now and then someone may offer ridiculous money for these cars.
