It's an audi with a custom interior and ugly exterior. It's sitting way to high.

Is it built on a VW ToeRag ? They mention the VW W12 engine

I'd definately choose this for a trip across the N African desert

much more comfy than those race trucks :)

guys,am i the only one who thinks that this is admirable?
seems to me this could be the start of a new segment.once this flies,
don't be surprised at offerings from ferrari, maserati and aston martin or even bentley being highly similar in CONCEPT to this.
people used to think "if u wanna drive fast, get a sports car"...the bmw m5
blew that away!other(IMHO) advancements that ppl laughed at(at first)
were audi's QUATTRO system(ford,in particular thought it wa a joke when a
    4wd "saloon/sports car" was taking part in rallyes),bmw's I-DRIVE(although
    only perfected by audi),volvo's SEATBELTS(!),crumplezones,abs,DISC-BRAKES,
    LM002,Cayenne(4X4 porsche?!?who's laughing now?),fuel-injection,
    MID-ENGINED road cars(god bless FERRUCIO),diesel engines,etc!!!!
    it's the year 2006,guys....maybe the D12 SSUV's styling may not be so great(...er...that didn't stop the 7/5/3 series,maybach,veyron,etc) but
DIDN'T WE ALL DREAM WHEN WE WERE KIDS THAT WE COULD OWN A CAR
    THAT COULD DO EVERYTHING?

btw,i think it looks hardly any worse than a porsche cayenne or new lincoln navigator....and at least the reasons this car isn't a "wagon" shape are
very much down to design and engineering criteria:
    1)295km/h in an "SUV" complete with aerodynamic stability and sports-car handling;
2)torsional rigidity and stiffness values.sources indicate that this vehicle
    has a rating of 53,500Nm.comparable to a VEYRON!(62,800Nm)a bmw X5 has a figure of around 21,000Nm.a ford explorer? 8700-9100Nm!!
